Has anyone received theirs since the last time an eglobal deal was posted?

People were saying they weren't very trust worthy/super slow at processing orders.

Did you get charged import/duty?
Did they use Hermes?

When you say slow, is that 2-3 weeks?
Does the Switch have an international warranty? I would not touch this unless it does. The regular switch has widespread unreliability issues with the joycon sticks. It is expected that this does too, though it is too soon to say.
Don't forget to account for your Vat and import liability just incase.

They ship from Germany. No need.
Im Tempted by this for my son however as its a present would want warranty just in case. I have used e global before with no issues and im assuming it will be compatible with games bought over here?

More or less 20% off UK RRP. Basically RRP minus VAT, Hence eglobal making massive margins and UK Retailers going bust.

how do you know they ship from germany? just curious
i didnt pay any import duty when i ordered my airpods from eglobal 2 weeks ago. they are slow at delviery but i paid a couple of quid extra for insurance and their tracking info keeps you updated as well
I wouldn't touch the lite until I'm 100% sure that the drift issues are fixed. I'm on my third left con and 2nd right con. I remember thinking that it's all BS before it happened to mine.

Can't find that information on their website, only information says they're a Hong Kong based company.

They drop ship via Europe, mostly Germany. I've ordered and and deliveries within 72hours.

eGlobal appear to plan for deep deals; drop ship a load of stock and then put on the offer to get stuff sent out quickly.

As noted above - it's UK prices without the VAT in many cases.

They are. They drop ship into Europe and send onwards. It's relatively efficient this way.

They probably pay for different shipping at source via DHL maybe?

Most online responses to any company via a review are ten times more likely to be a complaint than a compliment, so while I wouldn't ignore it, just remember that John Lewis reviews far worse than eGlobal on trust pilot.

If like you say if its shipped from Germany that still doesn't explain the Vat and import duty and their website doesn't mention drop shipping from within the EU anyway.

Like I said earlier the risk of having to pay your tax liability needs looking at before you order as it is a gamble whether you'll pay extra or not.

It's shipped from HK to Germany. Using loopholes they obviously avoid duty. Then it's sent onward obviously under pretence that duty within the EU is already paid due to tax agreements etc (might go with Brexit mind you).

If you ship directly from HK using a faster service for example you increase your likelihood of charges.

This is well known.

What are you doing to it? I've played on my switch almost everyday since launch and I've only needed to replace the stick in the left joy con once. Granted I shouldn't have to do that at all but it seems fair for the usage.
senor_sombrero05/11/2019 11:25

Nope, first one left was out of warranty in September last year. Nintendo wanted £40 or something to fix. Bought some on black friday last year from base they replaced the left joy con under warranty in may. The right original one has gone since then, and now I'm having issues with the left.

I've since bought a set of hori's joy con pro's from Amazon and very satisfied.

The switch is a great console, but nintendos behaviour over the joy con issues has been horrendous.

Your ok if your in warranty, but screwed if your not at least with the normal switch you can change our the joy cons.
I will get a lite but only once they sort the issues out.

Appreciate the detailed reply. I'm getting a switch over black Friday (my mother is over visiting my sister in Texas so I'll get it a bit cheaper) so I was thinking of going down the full switch route, instead of the lite, due to these controller issues. I noticed one of the hori joycons yesterday, it was a thicker looking joycon set up that looked awesome but only works in undocked mode.

Nothing I would say less than average usage, it's a big problem. You've said it yourself, you've had to replace it as well. Should you need to?
BTW how did that go as I've seen the kits on Amazon, and i''m considering doing it?

I've had a 3ds and vita slim that have had far more use over the years than my switch and neither has had any issues with the controls.

In my experience they can be worryingly slow but I have always received the item with no issue. The biggest problem after wait time is lack of a UK charger; I know they can be easily converted but factor in the price for a genuine Nintendo/Apple adapter and it drops the saving quite a bit.

So you think it's fair for how much you play on it. I play on my switch, ps vita and PS4 would it be fair if I have to replace all of these because I play on them every day.

Cheaper if you buy from eglobal ebay shop. Will be under £150
eglobal Central is not a company to trust.
gonna try and get one in japan used for 15,000 yen

Well, consider yourself lucky. I have 6 joy cons and 3 of them are faulty with the drift issue. Nintendo are currently fixing/replacing these for free in the US even if they're outside of warranty from what I've heard.

This is a serious issue as it's affecting the Switch Lite as well. This does need to be fixed before I buy it.

Good deal though, none the less.
Lowest price ever, right?
So is the Switch Lite region locked ? And if so, would buying this restrict you to using Asian versions of game?

No region locks on the Switch whatsoever.

Don't say stuff like that, you'll tempt me to buy one and I'm tempted enough as it is.
Never had any problems. Delivery can be slow but arrives when they say. Buy with a credit card for peace of mind if you’re concerned.

yes I ordered iPods they came in time and kept updated every step of the way
I picked one up from Tesco in store for £199 at weekend with Zelda. Seems a far more reliable deal than these cowboys. Good luck.
For the sake of £50 I’d pre-order the special edition from Nintendo direct with 2 year guarantee and a UK charger.
