Tag me when they're £150
Switch that doesn’t Switch. I like the product but the price point is wrong. And the no docking is a big negative along with it’s smaller battery compared to the re issue in september

They should have called the model 'Switchless'

This is pretty much (almost) exactly the right price for parity with the US price 1/3 less than regular Switch

Might get one when you can install homebrew on them.

Soon $1 is going to be worth as much as £1 and we can proudly say this is a better price than what they get.

Cheapest price available right now, that's all that matters, 🔥

Better to get one now, earlier FWs are normally hacked first, no?

Oo that is actually really good
As someone who has literally never taken the dock out of the box it's very tempting to trade my Switch in and get this.

How does this differ to the standard one?

The early Switch versions allowed a Tegra hardware hack involving the right joycon port, this doesn't have that.

Re-issue is already in the market. The issue is this is £100 cheaper. It may be worth the saving for someone who doesn't use the console heavily or want it for on the go. My logic dictates me that if I can do the maths using scrap paper and a pen, why should I pay for a calculator?
my advice is wait till the og switches are on sales since they are now outdated for around 200 pounds

The Switch is already overpriced £249 would be a reasonable price point for the hardware. This should’ve £150 max. I would like one but there’s a lot missing. I do like the joycons are attached like a wii u controller

I don't set the prices mate, Nintendo does. I only compared the price of OG 1.1 (£278.85) and Lite (£187.85).
Is it hackable? Not paying crazy prices for those games lol

Can currently get them for £259 from SmythsToys.Com or TheGameCollection.Net

Not sure anywhere would put them lower than say £249 IMO

Sure. I’m saying it’s over priced.

No-one pays £5 for a tub of Ben and Jerry’s you buy it on offer at £2. Because that’s how much it should be.

I’m waiting for the reviews. But will pick up a new one which is out in September

You could probably sell your dock, buy the new version of the full size switch with the better battery life, and sell the dock that comes with that one. You would then have a portable switch with the bigger screen, better battery life and none of the limitations of the Lite for about the same price.
Isn't the whole point of the switch so that you can plug it into the tv when you get home?

As I mentioned I don't set the prices, so I cannot do anything about that. Sorry. I also cannot ask my child to wait for Ben and Jerry’s to go on offer so that I could buy it for them for a few pounds less. If they want it and are behaving well, I don't care about the few pounds loss.

ah nice. £30 difference. Hmmm I wish they had made the battery better on the LITE
If you don't have switch, get it. You'll be able to play Switcher 3 soon
Great price right now, but non-switching is a killer for me. Can see this dropping a lot faster than the big brother model

It has a smaller battery (3570 mAh vs 4310 mAh) due to the smaller size of the console, but because it uses the same improved chipset as New Switch, it does have better battery life than the Original Switch. But not as good as New Switch 😥

Conceptually, yes, but I think it's a good idea that they released a Switch that doesn't "switch" for a lower price point, for those that don't care to play on TV. I think similarly it would be a great idea to release an even cheaper version without a screen that only plays on TV.
