I refuse to pay £300 just to play Mario, which frankly for most people is all that carries Nintendo these days. I will never forget my Nintendo childhood memories but it's not the nineties any more and all rounders like the PS4, which is also cheaper and has lots more games power and a thriving ecosystem are obviously the better investment by far. I sincerely wish Nintendo sold Mario and Mario Kart on the PlayStation, as I would buy each iteration time and time again, but I'm not buying an entire console just for two games...

Have some heat , how ever still using a WiiU and Ps4 for me the Switch is way over priced

Agreed, if switch supported the big games then it would be a good alternative to a PS4 or Xbox one but not as is.

Well yes. There is that. And they have no stock too. But we can be optimistic about the situation and say that they're all holding consoles in stock ready to bundle with Mario Kart on Friday - for £299.

if you please I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Here come the deals.... For me I am sticking to my Wii U and looking at Christmas or January deals. Strange this is the WiiU is still holding it's price!

thats just typical of Nintendo I'm afraid. I'm not biting yet. and let's face it the switch is a handheld wii u at the end of the day

Heat because I absolutely love the Switch and cannot wait for Friday!

good price. £299 bundle would be a system shifter... Not that it needs that at the moment lol zeldas got me hooked like nothing else in recent memory.

you can get this bundle with zelda for extra tenna. both are great games so it's really just what you want from the off.

I wouldn't mind playing the new Mario kart. but the memory if n64 and playing the game I don't want replaced .what if I played and just wasn't my thing anymore .

Yea, this really isn't that spectacular.

Especially considering this is a game where the vast bulk of development was already done for it, meaning development costs for this Deluxe Edition were probably relatively small and then turning around selling it for £40 means they're making BANK on it. £30 is still not what I'd call a 'great price' for a remastered game from 3 years ago.

Obviously if you were looking to buy these anyways, it's better than nothing.

I'm still gonna hold out til there's a £280 w/Mario, Xenoblade or Zelda bundle. Even if that means waiting a while.

i got my switch for 250 and who wants to buy a 3 year olds game for full price anyway

People still don't seem to get this is a handheld portable system with TV functionality and not a traditional home console. Comparing this to a PS4/Xbox is like comparing an iPhone to a desktop PC.

I got one last week and absolutely love it. For a handheld the graphics are mind blowing.

If you never had a Wii U then this is a no brainer. If you did (like me) then it's still a step up as the games look significantly better on the gamepad. I played BOTW on the Wii U and now playing through it on the Switch. It is so much smoother and higher fidelity, it also looks 100x better on the gamepad.

Worth every penny and cannot wait until more games hit.

If you never had a Wii U then

Look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves.

I know my detractors will accuse me of trolling Nintendo deals, although I have upset both the MS and Sony fraternity in HUKD over last week, but seriously how is it so many people are experiencing retail orgasms about a 12 quid saving? £310 shop bundled as opposed to £322 individually ain't even a 4% saving as such (_;)

It's a game we've all owned on Wii U for THREE years now, like seriously the very least Nintendo could do is a special MK8 branded Switch bundle with an RRP of £299

.......you're nowhere near the Nintendo lover you're making yourself out to be (_;)

Is what you really should have said

Personally I portray Nintendo consoles to have a different purpose to the PlayStation and Xbox lineup. Nintendo consoles shine due to their exclusives, not for the games that are released on all consoles e.g COD.

This is a SERIOUS question..........I have a wii u with Mario Kart 8 with all dlc incl cars and tracks - is this hugely improved version ? If so how ?

I looked at Zelda diff's between wiiu and switch and couldn't see enough to justify outlay.

Is Mario Kart different ?

Nope its the same game pretty much with 1080p in docked mode. However they did add a much improved battlemode that is leaps and bonds a better experience than the terrible one on wii u. However if you currently own a wii u and the game the upgrade is minimal.

Haha or even worse, walking out with 1-2 switch!

I'm a happy Nintendo Wii U owner and I'm not going to waste a single penny on the Switch.

If handheld is the big seller then why not just create a Switch DS?

I feel there's easily enough changes to warrant the purchase. It has a much better battle arena like Mario Kart 64, it also has the ghost item and feather back, it has the facility to hold dual weapons (like double dash), extra characters and obviously all the levels without the need for dlc. This for me is an awesome update to an already great game.

Only someone who hasn't got a Nintendo Switch will not be buying Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Everyone who owns a Nintendo Switch will buy the game. Simple.

didsburydan

they did. it's called the nintendo switch.

Well... technically the DS stands for Dual Screen
