sorted byYou... you know it plugs into the TV right? Also I think there's some irony in saying that a console which doesn't require a big TV to be played is more of a waste of money than one that does because of that feature.
This from a guy frequently found posting 'hilarious' comments on lingerie and after shave deals, and who hasn't himself posted a single deal.

I can't really see what the downsides to it being tiny are? Just another one of the Switch's excellent features and advantages surely? What dimensions must a console be as minimum before it becomes worth considering for purchase?
Applying similar logic in reverse, one might argue that the PS4 Pro is a rip off because it doesn't have a built-in display, requires a TV costing several hundred quid, takes up loads of room beside said TV, and is completely lacking in portability.
Oddly, Switch owners don't feel the need to criticise every PS4/Xbox deal. Strange world, eh

All your actually identifying and drawing attention to there is that the some other consoles don't have a portability handheld feature in addition to TV screen play.

Nintendo now even has 3rd party Games so that argument is dead.
I'd never buy a PS4 or a Xbox, specially now that their "life" has been cut to half with the Pro and X coming out halfway trough a generation.
Its annoying when people say to buy a PS or a Xbox to have a proper gaming machine, lol! 30-60fps, on a tv...
Also, how can it really suck if it cleaned up all of the game awards!? And they definitely deserved it!
I have a monster of a PC with a 5820k and a 1080Ti. But the Switch definitely fills the gaps!
That would be an appropriate comment if the specs were comparable. However the ps4 pro has way more space, compatible with VR which I hear is actually pretty decent, and its way more powerful. Obviously people have the right to make up their own mind, but I do think that most people should hold away from spending £280 on just the console and either wait or get one of the better bundles with games they like. Critical comments can only be good as long as they're not absurd, it'd either lead to nothing, or better prices for buyers in the long term. I think some of the consensus from nintendo fans were quite damaging since it gives nintendo a free pass at skimping on some of the specs, while charging more than the competition. It's something that has made things like unnecessary dlc and loot boxes more common place.
Still, their comment does hold less weight in a deal that includes 3 games for not much more than they stated as overpriced for the console. Plus at least the switch is more price appropriate than the Wii U RRP, people focus on the advertising that made it bomb, but really I reckon its terrible value that had a massive impact. By being truly portable and having a little stronger specs, the switch does make things more appropriate, but I'll still at least be waiting until next year personally. I was very tempted for the free Mario Odyssey bundle though.

You do know that adults play games consoles too right? And do you not see the irony of your post? Spending your life on your phone? And yet here you are. All the while not really offering any valuable input about the deal other than you not agreeing with the pricing. And of course suggesting that child neglect is a dire consequence of owning a console, despite owning one yourself? As for being a bargain, good sales and shortage of supply suggest plenty don't share your critique of the Switch. I could on like this for months too, but it's too easy!
