sorted byGenuine question, without knowing the answer either way - when you say "a lot" of Switches, do you mean yours and a few others you've read about online? It's only fair to know before making claims about how widespread an issue it might actually be.
I have Switch since launch and it works absolutely fine never had any issue.
A visual representation of Nintendo’s online infrastructure.
This. Not a great deal imo.
On a side note - I'm running a discussion regarding picking up the newest Edge magazine today which has the world's first review of Odyssey...yes.

My Bros one has this issue.
(he has the neon red/blue edition at launch)
One of the pads (blue I think) looses sync
He said looking it up its widespread and Nintendo won't replace or repair
I'd definitely recommend some research before getting the neon colour one (edited)
I don't play mine online so not noticed the wifi strength much, but have noticed that loading game videos from the Nintendo news is awful ( always buffering and stopping mid play to buffer more ) despite being super close to the router and having awesome internet. I don't know if this is just Nintendo servers are not though or my switch is faulty. I'll have to have a look at the wifi strength next time
What is the internal storage capacity of the switch?
I guess you can buy expandable storage for the switch, right?
is it easy to see a breakdown of the storage in use. E.g which games are taking up how much space? like on the PS4?
And finally, can you just go back to nintendo store and easily, re-download previously deleted titles?
Sorry for the late reply.
There are posts on Nintendo switch Reddit with hundreds of replies about poor WiFi speeds and dodgy connections on the switch. It probably doesn't effect 1% as hundreds into millions, but it's still a concerning problem. Update 3.0 was suppose to solve the problem, but I'm still having a terrible time with It even after the update.
