I'm waiting til the real black friday deals

Is this really such a hot deal? I'm only asking.

Thinking that a Switch is £280 on it's own, makes the 2 games £70 or £35 each, that's not a massive discount is it?!

I was really hoping for a Switch + Odyssey + Mario Rabbids or MK8 for nearer £300. Guess I might have to wait until Xmas or even afterwards!

Love to see this at £300

Decent bundle, £50 over priced.

Also Zelda set and SMO sets for 309 each are back in stock. Just bought one.

unlikely but I'm waiting too

not good enough for me im still waiting too

WANT

Been this price for weeks. Knock a tenner off and it's reasonably hot. Knock £20 off and it's scorching.

I reckon there might be some disappointment now for many of those after the Odyssey bundle. A lot of places are low stock or out of stock. Is supposedly limited edition, although nothing to stop Nintendo doing some more if they can be bothered.

Quite unlikely, US Nintendo have already said they will not be offering any black Friday deals and I would expect this to be of Nintendo globally, why discount a console that is flying off the shelves. Which leaves retailers to put bundles together and take a hit on their profit margins if they reduce it too much, again if they have no problem selling Switchs there really isn't much insensitive to drop prices even further. At least they are offering better bundles finally.

Decent bundle, £50 over priced.

I think there will be better deals, as there already has been better. However Zelda on a Switch in handheld mode is worth any amount of money. Buy it and enjoy.

That's the bundle I want, but not the price. Call me when it's at least £50 cheaper!

Heat for "cartridges".

Hurrah for nostalgia.

This is the bundle I’ve been holding out for but was hoping the discount on the games would be a bit more aggressive! Ah well, guess I’ll just hold out til Friday!

Even at £320ish I think I would bite

About as hot as the pope is Protestant yet it's already on 50 positive I just despair at Nintenuts

If I could buy again the switch this would be the pack i would buy.
Really good value for whoever doesn't have a switch yet. And you have there hundreds of hours of gameplay

Considering the console is £280, works out at zelda and mario 35 quid a pop. Better than standalone pricing, that's undeniable, but only by like 10-20 quid depending on where you look. Hardly a scorcher, I'm a bit worried that there's going to be little in the way of deals OR any decent priced deal will disappear in minutes

Mum question here sorry but can anyone tell me if I buy the smo limited edition with the download code can that game not be played out in handheld on the go? Thanks

Yes, it can be played wherever your little mushroom head wishes. Handheld or on docked mode, it just means you don't need a cartridge to play. It will be just a digital game which even if deleted, can be reinstalled again.

Cmon Nintendo... People can currently pick up a PS4 Pro with new games for £299... I'm sure you can do this too... Holding out.

Is it only in the hideous neon ?

They could certainly do it next year. Zero reason for a price cut now.

Think about it - why would you ever cut prices on a console which you're having trouble keeping in stock in the first place?

Gutted i didn't see this earlier, i bit at the console for £300 with rayman and lego world and then bought mario kart 8 for the extra £40.

Yawn.

System and Zelda at launch, enjoy for 6/7 months, buy Mario in October enjoy further.

Shop around because a 280 console plus 80 in games is 360, this deal shaves a tenner and seems pretty awful.

I purchased the Zelda/Mario bundle in-store and they matched the online price, fortunately they let me have the boring grey version instead. I honestly think £349 is too expensive but I was eager to play Odyssey.

No it's not at all hot, it's proper pony to be honest but because this mutant hybrid console is doing so well Nintendo can keep the price outrageously high and the Nintenut community in here will give you a good hiding for daring to suggest that as a 'deal' this ain't all that

I am proud and ever so happy to state I returned the Odyssey edition Switch I bought a few weeks ago for the very reason that even with quite generous discount 290 quid was way WAY too steep for what it is/you get!

To get value for money you'll be waiting a long time it pains me to say but if you are like me you'll be patient and wait for the right bundle at the right price no matter how long it takes to surface.

To compete more - to be the best selling console over Christmas period etc

The bundle I also want but not at £350.
Can't bite, need it to be £300.
(Living in my head for a long time I guess) lol.

Might just buy a Switch and get these games later. I want them but not anytime soon. Xenoblade is soon though and I will pay anything for it That will steal my time and then later when these go cheaper I shall pick up both of these games unless of course something really does happen on Black Friday.

I am hoping so but I think it is unlikely

if it was 320 or even less it would be scorching. Hoping for this bundle discount

Thank God the wife works at ASDA then, 20% week. Just under £300 for us today. For the same deal.

Yep great. isn't it. lol

It's been this price for weeks by buying the console from simply games for £259.99. Mario odyssey for £42 from smyths and zelda for £48 from multiple places, so not really much of a deal at all here.

And I think that's what I'll resort to if there's no decent BF bundles. If Simply still do em for £260, you can get the games for around £35 each on places like AVForums. They're cartridges so less likelihood of degradation so I'm not that fussed about a 2nd hand copy

It's actually been this price at GAME for a while, too. HUKD, forever baffling.

They already struggle to fulfill demand as it is without needing to cut price. The Switch has consistently been the best selling console in each month. They're competing very very well.

The reason you've given is fine - it's just quite short term thinking.

Particularly since Nintendo already struggles to meet worldwide demand, why would they try to raise demand further by cutting prices? Also, this would be the first home console in recent history to receive a price cut before 12 months on the market. Cue media stories of Nintendo lacking faith in it's product and current strategy.

Also, Nintendo has a very different problem here compared to the other countries - A price cut will not suddenly mean the Switch will be the best thing since sliced bread here.

You make a good point, and its even further made by the fact, that using various vouchers and clever pre ordering, that I obtained my Switch & Zelda for £300 at launch, and then got Mario for £19.99 meaning that I got it for £319.99... a Pro Controller I picked up for just under £40.00 and there you have it..
