Is this the same game as the WiiU version?

This one has a few extras thrown in, the main benefit is for younger gamers with the additional characters. Nabbit is the best one for smaller kids as he can’t get killed by normal enemies, but you can still lose lives falling down gaps.

Nintendo have done this with a few of the Wii U titles, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has the mode where you can’t fall off the track. Donkey Kong has a character where you can’t get hurt by enemies as well. These are godsends for younger kids tbh.

Yes, random applied, sadly

Good price, shame I bought it last week... Code doesn’t work with BOTW by the way, thought I’d try my luck

Very informative. My 5yr old loves the smart steering on Mario kart so might try this out. Didn't know there was this easier mode in more games
I have this on wii u. Is it worth buying again??

This or Mario Maker 2?

Mario Maker 2, 100%
Is this better than Mario maker ??

And versus the red boxed version on original wii?
Great price. Heat added.

£33 trade in at CEX. Main story on this is only supposed to be about 10 hours, so that's only a days gaming in the current circumstances.
This is cheaper than we bought it for last week 😔

From what I can remember From playing on the WiiU It’s pretty hard. Then again, back in the 8 bit days, I clocked the original SMB to get the crown symbol. My gaming days have gone hill since lol.
Be warned delivery is slow on this, I ordered it almost a week ago and it’s only been dispatched today (for obvious reasons) - just a heads up if you’re wanting it quickly

NSMB Wii is a different game to NSMB Wii U (Deluxe).
Thanks
Not knocking the deal post but this is 7.5 year old game. I really shouldn't cost 37 quid at this point.
If only I could actually get my hands on a stupid switch to play it

Great information - which Donkey Kong games is it?

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, you can be Funky Kong on the Switch version, which is basically an easy mode for young kids
Really annoying that I've paid for this (and loads more) to download to my son's 3DS but can't play any of them on switch

You pay for quality with Nintendo. You also get a great resell value so you aren't losing much money, about £5. Buy Red Dead Redemption at £40 when it was released and you would lose a good £25 if you want to sell it 6 months later.

The quality issue is up to personal tastes and the high resale value is just because of the Nintendo tax and the fact these games are intentionally overpriced in the first place.

I agree with what you're saying but it still doesn't justify the overpricing on these games.

Supply and demand. I love most Nintendo games so I'm perfectly happy paying £45 a game knowing that even years later I will get £35 back, so in reality the game is £10. The huge volume of sales justifies the price. Zelda:Breath of Wild has sold over 16 million copies all at full price. Why would Nintendo not want that? They are a business and businesses have one aim - profit.

For anyone on the fence.. this game has received some bad reviews, mainly because this game isn't new at all, it's a repackaging of an old game that came out on Nintendo DS. In my opinion, you should try to pick this up for £20 second hand than payig full bang...
Daniel_PerezDominguez06/04/2020 06:27

IMO it is. Great game

different games really.

If you just want to play Mario, this all day long.

But if you want to play levels created by others or even tinker with levels of your own, Mario Maker is the only game you can do that (without mods, which don't really exist on Switch at the moment)

It is a completely different game from New Super Mario Bros on the DS.

The sheer amount of gameplay you can do in the game with just 3 buttons and an analog stick is incredible, and it was flawless. Deserved the 2017 Game of the Year and was criminally blanket ignored.
