Do you switch the region back in your UK eshop or at the SA one?
westy9004/04/2020 11:33

Switch your region back using this linkhttps://accounts.nintendo.com/

Right so your switching the region and then switch back all in the same SA Store. I did read the instructions but wanted to be 100%.
What about if you buy it on SA account (made for region swapping) then switch back to UK one (main one)

will it be on your main account?

cheers

The single membership works on 1 account only so only do this using the account you want the membership on.
I'm new to all of this. If you set up multiple "users" on a switch life, do you need a family membership of Switch Online for all of those users to access the content?

It's no problem switching your main account country between any NOE countries which includes South Africa.
Problems would arise if switching to completely different region ie US and topping up eShop credit for that region (need to zero the credit else can't revert region). *But as @NinJaSQUARE points out, there are games on US eShop priced 1 cent !

Nice
Anyone got a link on how to do this step by step?

Thought I’d also add for the US eShop, you can use gold points on really cheap shovelware games to remove that 1 cent balance.

Oh yes good shout!
Can get it cheaper on eBay.
Confirmed working but what needs to be mentioned in the steps, is that you must not have automatic renewal set up for the online membership or you wont be able to revert back to your country of origin. Kind of important.

Link please

I checked beforehand but it looks like most of the deals are based on the seller selling a family membership and sticking you on it with random buyers. I didnt want to take the chance but some might.
Nice one OP
I am getting the error:
Error Code: 9001-0026: In order to continue, please access Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch console linked to this Nintendo Account.

But when I open the eShop on my Switch it's still in £ and wants full price.

Actually the answer you were given isn’t exactly true- you can create multiple users in different regions and still access all your content with a single online membership but you’d only be able to play online from the primary account user. So for example if your 2nd account was SA region and you’d purchased Splatoon 2 via that region you’d want the family membership otherwise it’s fine to play all your games still with multiple users you just won’t benefit from the cloud save data feature for each and every game from the different regions. Make sense?

It is true, Nintendo online will only work on 1 account (unless its a family membership), other users can play games from another user but thats nothing related to the online service, anything online related will be limited to the one account i.e only that account would be able to play the NES/SNES games or play splatoon online
Cheers OP, normally a little dubious about account switching deals, but just done this without any issues, one happy daughter
Great find
Hi guys, I have a question... If I don't have a fee free card, how much would it cost with a normal PayPal payment?

Doesn't work for me. I just get an error 2813-0000 when I go to purchase. I see the price in Rand but no luck.

EDIT: got it to work, needed to delete my PP and add the CC first.
