About this deal

Get ready for the ultimate arcade-style couch cook-off in Overcooked: Special Edition, available to download from Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. Divvy out kitchen duties between you and your friends as you collect, chop, cook, plate orders, wash dishes, and deliver as many piping hot meals as you can before the time runs out!

Crazy cooking

Sharpen your knives and dust off your chef’s whites as you work as a team to prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty orders before the baying customers storm out in a huff. Can you manage multiple culinary tasks at a time and keep your cool in the kitchen when the temperature rises?

Kitchen nightmares

Journey through a variety of cruel and unusual kitchens on a quest to become master chefs capable of conquering an ancient edible evil which plagues the land. Whether it’s coping with conveyor belts, sliding around a slippery iceberg or moving between speeding trucks, each level will test the mettle of even the bravest chefs.

Play solo or engage in chaotic couch cookery for up to four players in both co-operative and competitive challenge modes, and unlock new levels and new chefs as you play through the game.

Super-sized serving

Overcooked: Special Edition features the original game, plus The Lost Morsel and Festive Seasoning content packs which add six new campaign levels, eight new co-op levels, two new vehicles to navigate the world map with, eight new chef characters to unlock, and more!

Feel the food

Experience an extra level of fidelity with HD rumble integration. Feel every chop of a tomato or the slosh of the soup in a pot – you can even tell when something is on fire or about to burn out!

Dish out responsibility in the kitchen as a team, or step up to the stove as a solo chef as you cook, plate, clean and deliver orders in a bid to keep your customers happy

Tackle an increasingly challenging and bizarre gauntlet of kitchens that will push your skills of co-operation and co-ordination to the limit!

Unlock new levels, new chef characters and competitive challenge levels which allow teams of two to engage in hard boiled head-to-head kitchen battles!

Enjoy HD rumble support and two included DLC packs – The Lost Morsel and Festive Seasoning!

Can 2 people play at the same time on the same switch console?
Even better, up to 4 players can play together. It's a brilliant game and highly recommended

Is this any good to play for young kids? Circa 5 years.
I'd say this is a bit too complex for young children. We've got the second game and it's all about making food orders to time whilst encountering hazards etc. If they were a few years older they might be able to get on board.

It's made by the same people who made Worms. There is a fair and surprising amount of strategy involved! (edited)

I always struggle to understand Nintendo add ons. Already have the base game including lost morsel, but don't have the festive part of it.

Was thinking of getting my nephew a few games from the eshop but not sure how it works. Do you just get a code for the recipient to enter on their Switch? Do I need to know his account details?
I believe you'd been to be logged in as him when you go to the e-shop

So I don't need the base game for this?

Nobody asked but I’m 28 and this is the bestest game I’ve ever played lol. It’s so so much fun honestly.
I’ve played it on ps4&5 and it is much much better on there. It’s hard to control the movements and picking up/chopping on the switch for some weird reason.
However if I never played it beforehand on a different console, I’d never have even noticed.

Thank you OP. The PlayStation is in the room so usually only get to play at night. The switch is in the living room so I can play whenever I want now

I've got the 2nd game....is there any differences between the this and the 2nd game? Debating whether to get this?
