I think it is rubbish. Light weight plastic, worth no more than £2.99. I regret buying it, I don't like it, it is too flimsy and cheap for my liking. I remember there was metal ones came out, a red Mario themed one springs to mind. Would be a better investment?

Nice. FYI the RRP/regular price for this is £9.99 so ignore that £12 sticker

Quick question. Does this offer anything that the existing stand that pops out from the back of the Switch doesn't? Its a nice idea but I wonder if its money for nothing?

There's a gap so you can use the USB-C port while the Switch is on this. It is quite plasticky/cheap as @noahsdad says, but it does what it's supposed to. I personally wouldn't want a metal one as seems that might risk scratching Switch ?
Can u recall how much the wired pad was ? Not got a switch yet issues with the Very deal but a wired pad wud b good until I can afford the pro one

Yes, it doesn’t fall over. Great for playing with a Bluetooth pad when not using a TV.

If this is the Hori stand, which it looks to be, then worth every penny. The inbuilt kickstand isn’t fit for purpose.

It is the Hori stand and you're absolutely bang on - great bit of kit.
That's what I have (the hori plastic stand). I'm sure I posted as deal 2 yrs ago and paid £5.99 myself but don't consider it a good purchase. It might even be Hori it maybe power a who do the metal ones for not much more.
Yeah I have this exact 1 in my switch case with me all of the time. Great piece of kit especially for tabletop Mario kart games when about.

The normal kickstand is a waste of time, total liability. This is much safer and allows charging too. Highly recommend this.
If you have a Switch you should get one of these, yes its plastic.. but metal would just be weird and pointless.. it's decent quality, does exactly what you want it to do..
I'll add another voice for this being a great stand that I've used for a couple of years now.

It's simple, sturdy and secure without any major points of failure. That's actually why I've not picked the metal ones up - Sure, they look good but I would be a touch concerned that they do look like they could have the potential to malfunction and drop your Switch if the hinge fails.

If you have any old controllers, just get a cheap bluetooth adapter to make use of them:8bitdo.com/wir…er/
