The launch models will be even more desirable in the future since a lower percentage of Switches will have the hardware fault. I would hold off personally

I won't be changing mine until the first hardware revision, where you could expect a screen which reaches the edges and a newer Tegra chip.

Just to clarify there are not my own comments but comments of the general populous. I am actually really looking forward to the Lets Go games.

These games are a mix of Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Go. You no longer battle wild Pokemon anymore and instead catch them how you catch Pokemon in Go. Pokemon now do appear in real time in the overworld and do not just pop up randomly in tall grass and caves, even though they only still appear in those areas, if that makes sense.

I actually prefer this method but many of the die hard Pokemon fans disagree. It is very much more like Pokemon Yellow then Pokemon Go but you will be able to see the influences that go has had on these games.

OMG this was a no brainier, just maxed out my credit card. Wish they had done this with a Zelda version as I love Zelda not Pokemon, but a beautiful console, and will definitely hold its value. Thanks op, pre-ordered

I tend to agree on the physical media front but at the same time I know that I have never sold a pokemon game (it's the only reason I own a DS) and so this being preinstalled isn't much of an issue for me as I know I won't want to sell it

I don't think its exclusive but Amazon are usually late to the pre order game when it comes to consoles. Pretty sure it will be available the coming weeks though.

If you consider Switch £260 - £280 , game + PokeBall Plus controller £75 - £90 , then factor in the unique colours and designs, I think it works out well

That's fair enough, you are definitely in the minority though.

I'm ok with that. I like the general aesthetic and score but the characters weren't particularly interesting, the stories don't interconnect in any meaningful way, the olde English text and it not always matching verbatim with voiced dialogue was really annoying, the bosses were overpowered and dull, I just got fed up with it. Sent my SE back to Amazon. Loved old school Zelda, Suikoden, BoF, FF etc so not new to rpgs, just didn't think the quality was there personally and have lots of other games to play.
