Mad isn't it. Nintendo take the Mick with their prices but the peeps still buy!
I don't see the issue with the price, Xbox controller plus play and charge kit works out about the same. Also the battery life is excellent roughly about 80 hours.

Seems like most hardware Nintendo make has major faults and they overprice it too. At least with Apple you get a well designed quality and reliable device.

If your Joy Cons are faulty you should send them back to Nintendo for fixing - their customer service is great.

Thanks. Anything else the code works on?
Awesome. Used my £5 store credit from the email to reduce this further! Thanks
Does Amazon price match in discount codes?

Tempted with my £5 promo credit, but still can't justify £45 for a controller with a faulty dpad.

Its too much, xbox and ps4 pads can be had new for 37 to 40 quid. These pads should be around £30 in my opinion, given that these are a secondary pad behind the favoured joy-cons I really want one for splatoon but can't bring myself to buy at this price.

Buy one and forget about the extra tenner or so over the equivalent xbox controller. This is not a 'secondary' pad, but my main controller for the switch. So much better than the joy cons.
Buy one and you'll wonder why you held out so long. The comfort is unreal.
pay 5 pound more and get it from high street seriously, if something goes wrong its easy to return and not faff around sending it off and waiting etc. one of my controllers broke got from argos they gave me replacement straight away.
Would you be better off getting the MAGIC-NS Wireless Controller adapter and using an existing Wii U or Xbox controller instead?

Depends, if you have an Xbox controller already then it may be worthwhile, but you would lose hd rumble, motion controls and amiibo support. I personally find the pro controller more comfortable, just wish I could use it with my Xbox

Don't bother with the Wii u controller, its pants in comparison.
Shame they've now put the price up to £57.99, so the with the discount it's now £52.19
Back at £49.49 now with code.

I'll send them in but all they will do is open them up, add some foam to the Bluetooth aerial and send them back.

The pro doesn't suffer the same issues with Bluetooth.

IMHO owning all three current gems and multiple controller types on the switch - these ones are the nicest to use of all the current gen... by some way - I have two of these black and Splatoon and don’t regret getting them at all - much like the complaints with the joycons I have had no issues with my two.
Still holding out for a Pokémon edition
I like the 8bitdo SFC30, much cheaper than this option
I’m just about to purchase my 4th from very with the £30 off a £60 spend.

I can imagine not every one gets these codes, but it is all I have ever purchase from very. They keep sending the code every few months and I keep bagging one for £35.

This is a good price though,

Then you have to buy a play and charge kit, and I find the battery on a pro controller lasts longer than my xbox controller, so the price seems reasonable when compared to xbox

Play and charge kit can be had for £8, I like to have the option of batteries also.
What the hells people's problem with the price? Yes, not dirt cheap exactly, but (generally) you get what you pay for. I've one myself and it's one of the nicest controllers I've ever used, plus it's cramned with tech which the Switch utilises to it's fullest. Yes, PS4 and XB1 controllers can be picked up cheaper, but that's to do with these have been around for a good few years now, simple. Buy 8bitdo's newest controller for cheaper if you like which has a better d-pad if that's what you plan on using mostly, but the Pro has it beat everywhere else.
Just wondering, will the Wii u Pro controller work with the switch?
How Nintendo get away with their pricing I will never know. Everything Switch related seems vastly overpriced.

I won't exactly be surprised if this controller is still being sold for around the same price in a few years' time.

nobody considers an xbox one controller with play an charge a good deal though lol personally I think 35 is a reasonable price for a controller but you can get the zelda one for like 25 and looks alot nicer imo
