£53 for a controller that's far worse than the Xbox and PS4's? How can this be a deal?! Ice cold!

Whats do special about this controller? Its still expensive!

It’s more comfortable than joycons and has great battery. But yeah, £50 is still way too much

What a ripoff, everything nowadays anything that says "Nintendo" is a ripoff anyway

Over £50 is still more for this controller, probably price may go down on Black Friday or combined with game.

Supermod

Nice one @poohui At the moment i'm getting on just fine with the joy con grip but I know it'd be better with one of these. So cheers!

Hot - tempted

I really love using the joy cons over a traditional controller on other consoles (I've not used the pro controller on the Switch mind, so for all I know it could be amazing)

If I could get Joy Cons for the PS4 then I'd do it in a heart beat!

I'm hoping for a Black Friday deal too so gonna hold out, this is one of the cheapest I've seen so far though

What makes nintendo think they can price pads at this kind of price seriously??? And it's hot!?!?

FYI you can not combine any points earned from previous orders with this code, just checked and they said ‘no

Absolutely the best controller I've owned, it just feels great to hold when gaming. It's a shame they don't have changeable LT/RT buttons so I could use it for racing games on my Pc.

The motion and HD rumble are quite expensive technologies by all accounts, but I am yet to hold one of these. If it's anything like the WiiU Pro controller, the battery will be superb - 18+ hours in my experience, compared to both my PS4 pads being about 4-6 hours.

I dunno, the Wii U pro controller was just like any other controller... the xbox and ps4 pads are far more comfortable and cheaper..

Cheaper, yes - comfortable, that's personal preference I suppose. But then I found the N64 pad to be superb (big hands I guess).

The HD rumble is genuinely decent compared to regular rumble, but I don't disagree it's expensive - just par for the course for Nintendo really. Hardware is never sold at a loss apparently, where Sony and MS are more willing.

I also liked the Wii having split controllers; with big hands, I sometimes find that being constrained to a pad can be tiring, where the split (albeit wired) Wii remote and nunchuck were quite intuitive when implemented in games well.

Will probably hold off on the Pro for a bit and keep the joycons if they're not too small to use for long periods.

I loved the n64 pad =) the xbox one pad for me is the best pad I've ever used.

The code is a 10% off code that works with anything. Most items are of course found cheaper elsewhere anyway. Had a look around and could only see a few 3DS games that would have been of interest.

I own all those consoles and the Pro controller is way better than the controllers on PS4 or Xbox One. Amazing battery life, very advanced rumble, motion control, great comfort and superb build quality, you get what you pay for.

1) That's not how it works.
2) It's far better than the PS4 Controller and up there with the XB1 pad. Hot from someone who knows!

The Wii U pro controller had 80 hours of battery life. More than both combined.

How does having better battery life than both combined = far worse? And you must really hate HD rumble to claim it's worse than the rumble on the Xbox or PS4's controllers.

Wow a lot of Nintendo shills on here tonight! The Pro controller isn't even close to the Xbox controller. I've never even heard anyone try to argue that before these comments showed up here. Suspicious...

Expensive yes, but by far my favourite console controller, comfortable and with a massive battery life. Whereas I need a second battery/controller on charge whilst playing on other consoles (thus needing 2), I can use this controller for 10's of hours between charges.

By the way some people bang on you'd think it's possible to play the Switch with the cheaper PS4/XO controllers!

Good deal for a Pro Controller, which is too expensive IMO, but if you want one what other option so you have?! I love split joycons anyway, much more comfortable playing with my hands apart rather than together with a traditional controller.

So? Felt like crap... also battery life? I never worry about it with charging between plays, not gonna play for 80 hrs without charging

Looks like a cheap aftermarket Xbox one copy - all of about 15 quids worth

Have no idea how nintendo get away with these prices. I was after pro controller for the wii u and they were all above £30 second hand lol

This is why I play on PC. No monopoly, I can use whichever controller I want!

I'm a big fan of this controller. Absolutely best of it's type for battery and rumble. The controller I love too as it seems to be for the big hands male, unlike every other controler of the last 10 years what is for a mixture for woman, children, and men.

I'd say it's the closest controller to an original xbox controller from the 2000s but refined.

Sooo many haters haha.. don't like it, don't buy it -simple! Stop bloody moaning allll the time about products which you have no intention of buying anyway.

Just get an 8bitdo controller. Really good in my opinion.

Make sure that it's one that's firmware flashable to be able to use it with the switch.

*confused* Nintendo (and other companies) don't set second hand prices. I would have preferred the Switch pro controller to have price parity with Microsoft's and Sony's offerings though

you dont know what youre talking about. nintendo make a small profit on the Switch, less than Apple and Samsung.

why do gamers think these companies are charities?

Sony and Microsoft both copied nintendo's controllers to get where they are LOL

One joycon controller costs $45 for Nintendo to make. The total Switch package costs them $260-$275

Lots of spoilt brats here expecting Nintendo to give them something for nothing. Go and get another hobby or play on your ipads that have a much bigger mark-up.

Mods should delete the comments claiming Nintendo are ripping people off, unless evidence is supplied.
