£50+ for a controller is not a deal. Cold.

A controller far worse than the Xbox/PS4's, yet it's around £20 more than both at £55, and somehow that's a good deal?

Rather pay £5 more and get the Splatoon 2 edition from Amazon.

Overpriced for what it is though

It has two flaws...

1. No headphone jack
2. No analogue triggers....

Other than that it's a great controller and the only thing I consider using on my Switch.

I'm actually quite happy with the Joy-Cons - but if this had a headphone jack I'd order one up tout suite.

It is essential for TV Mode IMO.
the price is definitely a rip-off and there is no way to justify it.but still a must buy.

I don't agree that the Pro controller is necessary for TV mode. Once I tried playing BOTW with the Joycons separated without the grip I actually played the rest of the game that way to completion. The sticks and buttons could be positioned better for sure, but I don't think you really need to spend another £50-60 you can get by playing like that, and the comfort of being able to put your arms whatever you want is really nice.

Hiro pad is in Sainsbury's for £26.99

The controller would be great but for the crappy dpad and Nintendo know how to make great dpads, go figure.

Totally agree with this. That's exactly how I play BoTW. It's perfect for aiming with the bow too. I'm playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 at the moment and I can't get down with that bow - because for the last two months I've been fine tuning my shots in BoTW with a little motion control. It works so well.

Lol Xbox One controllers are way less than this, so are PS4 controllers why does Nintendo make everything overpriced?

I am sorry to burst your bubble here, but Xbox One and the PS4 are not the same age as the Switch. When the Xbox One and PS4 came out the standard controller(s) was priced £50+ and now after a couple of years they have slowly decreased in price. Even the xbox one first controller did not include the aux port, but eventually was released with one at the £50+ mark. I agree with you that it is a little overpriced for what it is, but its a norm for new hardware, but everyone has a right to their own opinion and I respect yours. I managed to get two Pro controllers for £80.

Other than the lack of analog triggers, it's far superior to DS4 due to the gyro and battery life

I find this controller better than the Xbox controller which to me is too big and still takes batteries. Not quite as good as DS4 but only because it doesn't have analogue triggers. The battery life in this is insanely good.
