Nintendo Switch - Pro Controller £59.99 @ Tesco

Found 24th Mar 2017
I know this is the RRP so may go cold.
However, it is out of stock everywhere I have looked except Tesco, and they are actually selling it at the RRP, unlike other companies *game*.

I just want people who are looking for one to know Tesco still have them in stock for next day click and collect.

So expensive for a controller that doesn't seem that special. Struggling to find a reason to vote hot.

I won't disagree with that, however it does come with a USB-C cable which costs about £10. I am not saying that makes it cheaper, however if you need a USB-C cable then it is slightly more reasonable.

This is very true - I've been using the cable for this to charge the Switch while on the go - saves disconnecting the base unit...

Doesn't seem enough to get this deal any heat though.

NFC readers are cheap as crap. Every phone has em.
HD rumble is just a linear actuator. Personally I think it's worse. No where near as much of a kick as a dual shock.
Motion controls, PS4 pad has this.
The battery life is good, mainly cause there's not much in there to use power.
PS4 pad has a touch pad, a speaker, headphone socket, the silly light bar, actual analogue triggers and not buttons, so it can actually be used for racing games.

I think the PS4 pad is tons better. But when PS4 launched they were crazy over priced too. These will come down. Just slower, as Wii U pro pad took ages to come down a bit and was still overpriced.

I'm currently monitoring new buy it now listings on ebay to try get one of these for a decent price. The joycons analogues are a bit crap. barely any travel, so, hard to be accurate. And they don't even move smoothly compared to proper sized sticks. Will make zelda much comfier to play. Least I'll be able to aim the bow and arrow better.
At this price these may even have a Custom Tegra X2 inside to add to the X1 in the Switch and run games at 900p!

SavageDonkey relaying the Savage Truth! There's no reason why tripe controllers like this sell for obscene RRP, and I'm glad the deal temperature reflects their value.

Of course, Nintards will find any justifiable excuse for why their beloved company's (low end rubbish) products need to sell for AAA prices.
So we now live in a world where £60 is a reasonable price to pay for a game controller.

A small piece of plastic with some circuit boards in it.

Give it a year, with only Zelda and a Mario games to play & you'll be able to buy the console for this price.

£60. Mario can buy four new hats & a moustache trimmer with that money.
Hopefully third parties can bring adapters to use other and older console pads. This must be the most expensive pad of all console times..

Yep, game development cost nothing
Thing is, I really like use the joycons completely detached. I can cross my arms, or have my arms by my side. It's more comfortable.

It's a brilliant system. You have to play to appreciate it. You won't believe your eyes that such a small device is spitting out Zelda and Mariokart. Also, can vouch for the controller. It is the best in my opinion my only issue would be no analogue triggers.

I like to play that way too. They're a little small for it to be the perfect way to play for me, but the comfort of playing like that makes up for it.

I wonder how long until we see third party joycon grips that make each one a little bigger. Although they'll probably hammer the ones with poor BT range even more!
Well it does connect to the PC without any driver issues. The Wii U Pro Controller has 80hrs battery life and this has 40hrs. Charging that price they should have marched it.

Unlikely, you can't get a Wii U for £60!
have some heat to help with that chill. o got mine day one and although very expensive I use it all the time so justified my purchase very quickly
Heat added. Lack of availability + good retailer x rrp = hot.

This is the type of person that would go out and buy a PSVR... lol.

A pad is for life, not just for Christmas.

Haha! Wrong. Last PS I owned was a PS2. Love my Xbox one though if that helps

That just confirms what you are.
One of the best pads I have ever used. More comfortable than the Xbox One and PS4 stock pads, better buttons and has replaced the Xbox 360 pad in terms of pure comfort and layout for me. Works great on PC as well.

It's a forum pal where people get to post anonymous comments. Rather than trying to annoy people perhaps you should actually contribute to this forum AND POST SOME DEALS!

I contribute in other ways. Helping people etc... rather than random Sh*t posts about something you won't buy for a console you probably don't own.
Typical fanboy attitude - which is funny cause you probably bought an elite pad for £100 when they were first released.

The Xbox pads are awful. Well actually they aren't bad but those LB/RB 'buttons' are trash hence rendering the pad crap in my opinion.

Would quite like to own the console if I'm honest. My N64 was probably my favourite console of all time. Loved Ocarina, Golden Eye and MARIO 64. Just haven't been interested in Nintendos most recent home consoles.

Again, wrong about the elite pad, but no hard feelings.

This is a deals website and I don't think RRP of an over priced product (IMO) constitutes a deal.

Apologies for ruffling the feathers.
Apology accepted and feathers most certainly rustled.

The pad is good though, I was reluctant to pay £60 for a pad but after having it (and issues with joycons) it's well worth it.

I apologize also. Had a crap evening and decided to vent at the first thing.

You can't even get a NES for that price, controllers are expensive dude.
Thanks op. I have unused clubcard vouchers so this suits me.

For the haters: Got a Switch last week and my 1080gtx powered gaming PC is just gathering dust. I truly think Nintendo have nailed it with the Switch. It's just so cool to be able to play BOTW whilst lying in bed on a Sunday morning.

I agree with you, I know it doesn't suit everyone.. but sometimes I don't feel like gaming at my PC (Stardew Valley sort of games) - yet, the Switch is easy to just relax on the sofa, and I use it on the train.
I actually bought the controller earlier than I planned as I needed a USB-C cable and this controller comes with one which people overlook!
