Can you share the links? I’m in the market for a pro controller
That's nothing. I've pre-ordered the Elite 2 for £160.
Have you used this controller? It's the best controller ever made imo (excluding those elite controllers etc).
It's incredibly well made, comfortable and has a lot of tech inside not found in regular controllers such as NFC and HD rumble.
You get what you pay for.
Note. It's just not recommended for driving fans, as it has digital triggers not analogue.
It's a great controller so totally worth it over the crappy joycons tbh.
I have all 3 major platforms and use my dualshock 4 over the Pro controller when I play pc games that need one.
Triggers are godawful on the switch Pro controller.
But.. that D-pad...
There's really nothing wrong with it all for 99% of games out there. Most modern games only use the dpad for simple inputs and the others that use it generally isn't as issue. I agree it's not perfect though, games like Tetris you may register a false direction occasionally which will ruin your game.
Overall, still one of the best controllers ever made.
Well I can speak with experience too, I have a Xbox one, PS4 and switch pro controller. The switch controller is my preferred choice for the pc, the triggers are NOT awful, in fact I think they feel rather nice. They are just not good with driving games which require analogue input.
I actually think the triggers on the dual shock 4 feel fairly hideous. It's all opinions though and personal preference.
Difference in preference is opinion
Difference in price is fact
£35 vs £50
I would also add any type of shooter to the list of games the triggers don't really work well with.
The xbox one and ps4 controllers are well built, have decent rumble and work with full functionality on the pc. They have also been much cheaper than this controller. Unless you need NFC (what for?) then this doesn't represent good value.

I really like my 8bitdo SN30 Pro which has same layout to Pro+, my only small gripe is if you're primarily using the left joystick the lower position is a bit weird vs Pro controller, situation reversed if your primary use is the D pad for platformers. The big plus is that it's so much lighter but the rumble isn't as good. All imho.
What places?
He means the fake websites selling fake controllers: leegamestore.com - i.e. no branding on the controller
There is a legit way of getting them for £45 from genuine retailers, but no stock right now
Lol ok I didn’t think so, thanks
Amazon PRIME NOW. If you haven't already used the £10 off £50 spend.
Yeah but that’s clearly not they were referring to otherwise they wouldn’t have said this was a “bad price” and was £44 in “a few places”. It’s the same price at the same place just using a voucher code that can be used on anything and isn’t even available everywhere thank you anyway though
It’s opened up the world of my switch. You won’t regret it. The fact that you can play the few FPS games like Paladins, Fortnite etc just make it worthwhile. Also makes Minecraft fun.
£45 deals are fairly common and worth biting as soon as you find them.
I think I bought mine from Amazon France for £43 after conversion
Thanks!
I still really don’t know if it’s worth it... I get on fine with the joy cons, it’s only a little annoying in games like Celeste and Mario Maker when pressing up... argh
It’s a tough one I agree, the joy cons are fairly useable, especially if you don’t have quite large hands. I keep thinking about getting the pro controller and then change my mind...if only Nintendo had priced it between £35-£40
Glad I’m not the only one. Every time it drops on Amazon it floats to my basket... especially as I have a £5 promo right now so its £45...and then I think, “but would I rather this or a game?”
