Hey guys, this is Mike from Retrosoft Studios, just wanted to address that yes indeed codes are for the country where the ordering address is. Also, I am working on getting the international shipping costs in check on our site for the digital plus edition as I know they are currently high.

As to the concerns over the launch price, we are pouring a ton of blood, sweat, tears and money into the game. It is up to our team to prove to you that it is worth your hard earned money. If you are on the fence due to price hopefully you give us a chance by reading the reviews when they appear online. If we do our job right it will be a really fun wrestling game that will be worth $25. If not you are correct it will be in a digital bargain bin at some point.

Thanks for commenting about the game, and if you have any questions you can leave them here as I will monitor this thread or feel free to send me an email directly mike@retrosoftstudios.com

But you've worked hard on it so I hope it is successful, and you've got some big names for it.

FPW was designed before the Switch even came out so it would probably cost too much to port. As for price, it is my job to blow you away with great reviews until we break you down and you have to have it on your switch. We will try our hardest.
Surely this is cold.... Wow

We need more retro games on the Nintendo switch!? Why can they not do this whilst we are all in this crisis!?

I've been following the publishers on Twitter since announcement. It looks like a really fun game, and as I said previously, a really good throw back to nostalgia for players of WWF Wrestlefest. They've got a fair few names in the game (LoD, Tommy Dreamer, John Morrison, etc) which I imagine may have cost them some in fees, etc.

It's a Nintendo game with 15% off pre-launch I think £21.28 is a fair price to pay. It's also releasing on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but of course, if the launch price doesn't suit you, you're best waiting for a sale.
Surely this is cold.... Wow
Just watched the gameplay, wow, please don't support these awful prices
Heat for the retro feel and reduced price at launch.
Personally can see this dropping in price very quickly.
One I am waiting for is the AEW game. Kenny Omega should have been making an announcement about it shortly. But the COVID19 has delayed that sadly. Omega's favourite wrestling games is WWF no mercy n64, so the game should be similar to that. Same company / few people who made the original.

Just get Yukes and THQ on board and it's a winner before it's launched.

It's sad to see how 2K have handled the WWE franchise. Hopefully, AEW will have learned from their mistakes and release a cracker.

Hopefully it will be good and I have hope in it.
2k having lay offs due to the problems with the current one. So 2k21 will have more issues and zero real update. Personally think wwe should find someone else to make their games.

That's great news. I hope you're well!

That's a good question. I'd have assumed regional codes would be distributed via billing address at checkout, but I've reached out for clarification.

No idea how this is hot either. Fire Pro does everything this seems to do but...better. It should be half the price but I do understand the development overheads are greater for a small company.

No Yukes, please! Wrestling games peaked circa WCW/nWo Revenge, No Mercy, and, for the proper nerds, the Japanese release — Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 Yukes took over the WWE license shortly thereafter (early 2000s) using what was essentially a less responsive, less refined, less enjoyable variant of AKI’s system.

Apparently/hopefully it’s AKI Omega is in talks with. The AKI releases have somewhat of a cult following, and people still mod them to this day (e.g. the recent Feel the Bang).

Hey I love Fire Pro as well. I have been playing it since 6 man scramble on the Saturn. Also, own FPW. Our game is more of an arcade game then fire pro. Think Wrestlefest meets Firpro. It is a crime the lack of wrestling games on the Switch. Although I do have 3 Count Bout, Mat Mania and Pro Wrestling on my Switch. We think there is room for another wrestling game in the market with a different take.

I can't review the game, because I haven't played it, even then I'd be posting this purely based on a discount as I have here, which is what I believe the site is for. It's a 15% discount. Your feelings aside of what you think it may end up like, it's a discount I was proposing to anybody who maybe interested in the game. Maybe that's why it's hot?

Regardless of the fact Fire Pro seems to do everything this does

I think I've skipped a generation of wrestling games, I remember Rage in a Cage on Mega CD, and obviously Smackdown Vs Raw on PlayStation. Where did AKI come in?

I didn't own a N64 first time around. Don't hate on me

Our gameplay is different then Fire Pro. It is a little faster paced, a little more of a button masher, and a little more randomness. Like an arcade game. So yes we are a wrestling game so we do a lot of the same things. We hope to have a different experience, presentation, and different gameplay then Firepro

Mike, once I can see past the fact there will be no "Hogan with the leg drop", "Jake, DDT" or "Mr Perfect, Perfect Plex" I'm sure I'll have a great time with it

P.S The cage drop is fantastic

Will this game have like a story/career mode

We do have a choose your own adventure style story mode, it is not a super big multi-branch story, but there are a few different paths. I would not call it a career mode though. You will play as Johnny Retro coming off an injury. If we are successful, and the story is popular we hope to offer additional stories in the future. On a side note we hope to have additional DLC both free and paid. That split will depend on how the game sells. We are more then willing to invest profit back into the game and offer additional content for free, but stuff like licenses cost a decent amount depending on who we get. We will also look into adding a CAW if we can post launch.

Good LORD, man!

I believe the first iteration was actually WCW vs The World on the PS One. Then you had WCW vs nWo World Tour and Revenge on the N64, followed by Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy. It all happened in the blink of an eye. Or four years, in literal terms, haha!

They went on to do the fairly decent Def Jam Vendetta games. Completely over the top brawling with, er, various rappers. Way better than it sounds, honest!

Fond memories of being at school, and my mum working directly across from this terrible little mini-mall, but they had a WrestleFest unit, so I’d go see her and beg for 20p on my lunch break. Simpler times!

We have had communication with a couple physical media places. The ones we have talked to want to talk after we launch. I think they have interest, but time will tell. I would love to do a physical release.

And I appreciate the support! We will win you over!!!!!

that's good news, i'd very much like to pick this up physically.
I've been tracking this game for a while.
from a customer standpoint, Super rare, limited run, special reserve, and strictly limited are my faves.
so hopefully one of those guys, but this is on my radar now!
i don't mind waiting, you get used to it dealing with those companies.
I loved Wrestlefest, this is a definite day one purchase for me, thanks dudes
People that have complained about the price, have you not seen the WWE 2K games? I mean, seriously....
