Are these any different from normal cards

Yes, there's a nice picture of Mario on the packaging.
I got excited when title said £17.99

Don't believe the nay-sayers! It's well known that using a Nintendo branded SD card will automatically make you a better game player. I have one of these and finished Breath of the Wild in 6 minutes!!

it’s £71.99 not £17.99
There's an error in the listing title, you've put £17.99 lol
Haha. Yeah, as others have said, the price is wrong. The 200gb is currently £68.99, but I believe that’s also been closer to £50 in the last few months, so I’m waiting for that one.

got mine for £26 when the switch was released, why would you post this?
How does this differ to cards without the Nintendo branding like this this card which appears to have the same spec at half the price?

the packaging has Mario on in hope people will think its special and pay more, other than that its normal
Hahahaha it’s never been a deal, I got the Samsung one on offer a couple of weeks ago, £29 for 128gb was a bargain, and works a treat on the Switch
As a newbie i won't vote cold but seriously look around £30-35 max for a u3 128gb card

Greater capacity? >_<

I bet digital foundry have done a comparison of write/access speeds and switch memory cards
Man, came through on my notifications as £17.99.

Colour me disappointed.
That is a TERRIBLE price! How much did Nintendo charge to let them put a switch logo on the card?

Gonna pick a large card up soon as thinking of going totally digital on the switch?
Not this one though obviously ;-)
Are Sandisk even a good brand. I've seen people say Samsung is better. Is this true?

Yes, SanDisk are a good brand. No, this isn't a good SanDisk deal.

You should, this is a ripoff price :).
Deal of the century! I feel gutted I only paid 29.99 now the other week as that doesn't come with a nice picture of Mario on it
Would expect a 256 card for this sort of money to make it a good deal.
As a very new switch owner - what do you actually need a high capacity SD card for, apart from downloaded games? Do physical games have a large install like the PS4 or XB1?

The switch only has 32gb of internal storage. Games can vary in size...
mario odyssey, approx 6-7gb
La noire, larger than 32gb so won't even fit on a base switch.

Unless you always buy physical you may not need one. However some companies only put half the game on the switch cards and you have to download the rest. They do this to save money on the card size they buy from Nintendo. If you buy a lot of games you may find yourself running out of space

Thanks, pretty much only bought the Switch for Mario (Oddysey & Kart), Zelda and Bayonetta - got all physical apart from Bayonetta 1 download, so probably won't need a card for a little while...
