Addictive as being addicted to the most addictive thing plus a little more addiction.
THANKS !!! Been waiting for this to drop since I missed out on last sale.
Heat
Everyone needs to play this. I don't get on with most card games but this one is so addictive. Absolute bargain at any price, really.

Heat OP, tempted by this one
Put a daft amount of hours in on the P.C version and a fair bit on the switch. Still come back to it. Brilliant game.

Forgot this was still on Game Pass so gave it a run there. Made it to end of Act 3 on first run and messed up by picking an option that upgraded my whole deck but also meant I could no longer heal. Anyway, really enjoyed it so it's a definite purchase on the Switch for me, perfect game for it (I seem to say that about another of Switch games)

The Mind Bloom event. You want to choose to re-fight an Act 1 boss for a relic 90% of the time when you get this event. Upgrading cards is very important (to the degree that you should take some risks to Smith instead of heal from the start as soon as you have a feel for the enemies and bosses) however not being able to heal at all for the end game is more likely to ruin you than not having your less important cards upgraded.

The Act 1 boss fight should be very easy at this point (if it isn't you'll struggle with the Act 3 boss) and generally the relic will be the best value and the most consistent reward with no downside. Its random but the event can also give you two other options: 999 gold (with two curses that will often ruin you) or a full heal (with one not so bad curse). I would only suggest going for the former if you clearly have shops coming up to remove the curses and know you can survive the fights till then - an exhaust or draw-discard deck is less likely to have trouble with them in the interim but they're pretty rare.

Have fun with it! I've only got about a hundred hours on steam and fifty on switch so I wouldn't say I'm very experienced compared to many out there but I guarantee that it is very rewarding once you really start to learn how to build insane combos in putting your deck together.

Check out Rhapsody on YouTube for a lot of entertaining gameplay that will teach you a ton and help develop the game sense required for the higher difficulties and modifiers, as well as pulling together unusual and complex yet super fun decks.

There's also a wealth of user-created content, characters, etc on pc I recommend checking out once you're well acquainted with the game.

Excellent, thanks for all the info

A lot to learn but it eases you into it quite well. My mistake last night was not checking my route before choosing the option to upgrade cards and lose ability to heal. Thought there was just a bonfire between me and the boss but turns out there was an enemy node so I ended up going into the boss with 50% health. Actually didn't do too bad and reckon I would have had him if I went in with full health. Will go for the option to fight Act 1 boss next time.

Doing a run now with the Rogue character I unlocked and enjoying him a bit more just adding poison stacks, he's pretty good. Eased past the first act with him. Picked up Sneko's eye relic which is making things interesting.

Can see myself sink a lot of time into this one. I'm liking that they've utilized the touch screen controls on Switch too, a lot of games neglect it. Will check out Rhapsody and get more familiar with the mechanics, thanks again.
Very tempted by this but they just announced an iOS version and I feel like this will play really well on my
phone. Great queue-buster.
Digital crack.
