36% of the product price for delivery charges is always a big no from me. Ridiculous pricing at £8.90 for shipping in 2019

Each to their own, though. Nice little heads up for anybody wanting one.
Does anybody know where they're shipping these from

Last batch of small stock or last small batch of stock?

It definitely is a high price for delivery. Didn’t want to pass up on this though. Some may prefer the 8bitdo controller but I had heard the d pad wasn’t great on that and I am going to be using this for the SNES games mainly.

I think you said it better
SNES Mini + two controllers + 21 SNES games (Or the whole library with mod capability = £60-£70

SNES Switch controller + Switch Online membership + 20 not as good games (no mods) = £60-70 and not permanent without Switch Online

I almost ordered one last week but, gave up when I saw what the shipping charge was. They are unlikely to become collectors items either
Absolute rip off..

Although you don’t get the portability with the mini. I have that too.
Freezing! How on earth is this a deal They charge nearly £10 just for shipping! I'd understand if it was being imported or something but it's the UK store so should be UK stock. Buy the 8bitdo pad and don't let Nintendo rob you...

They ship from Germany. But I agree the shipping cost is too much. It initially was £6.75 shipping to UK, then they increased it to this

I’ve heard they are shipped out from Germany. Not sure how true it is though.

I think stock is sent from Germany. Not that it justifies the delivery cost.

It's completely true. Germany is where their European factory/warehouse is

I don't know if you know, but apparently they ship from Germany

Can you use these on Switch games or just the SNES/NES games? ie Streetfighter 2 on Switch
Shipping is a joke. Taking advantage of loyal customers considering you have to be a switch online subscriber.
Out of stock already?? That's unfortunate, damn Nintendo and their engineered scarcity!

Depends on the game really. It works well with things like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze not on others though.

I’m thinking I should have jumped on these now what with Brexit looming. They’re going to get more expensive once customs charges start getting thrown on top. (If no deal happens of course and Nintendo still ship them from Germany then)
Edited by: "Biddy2" 8th Oct
I cannot even order as it says "currently not available". I guess this is a sign that I am not supposed to get these.
Why keep the shipping a fixed price regardless of whether it's 1, 2, 3, or 4 controllers being shipped ? They should've made the shipping less for a single controller, then gradual increments for more

The components are manufactured here in the UK. Then they are sent to China to be assembled. They are then sent to Japan for QC and testing. Then they are sent to Germany to be packaged and distributed.

Nintendo are masters at the art of ripping people off.

Great games, lousy business practices.

I've found Overclockers to be bad for some stuff, I had a basket with a few different things and added a mouse that took my delivery to £8 something, just the mouse alone also had £8 delivery charge so they are doing it solely with that product as far as I can tell.

Annoyingly I still couldn't order as the same "add to basket" glitch was not showing for me even though I have switch online which they said they would be fixing, but obviously haven't. I am not going to bother renewing my subscription when it expires as I wasn't even able to take advantage of a perk that they are offering because Nintendo don't have a clue about online infrastructure. Yes I could probably try my luck next year, but no thanks as they will be hiking the price and using brexit as an excuse to do so!

I wouldn't say completely different. They are similar. It's not like he's compared it against Jaffa Cakes or a Kia C'eed.

how on earth are different? two modern official ways that Nintendo offers you to play SNES games through HDMI except one is vastly more expensive
Thanks for posting, I would have bought one if I'd seen it in time!

Most likely Germany, maybe Netherlands. Delivery really should not exceed £3/4

Well the SNES games on the Switch could be seen as free as they are more of a benefit to having Nintendo Switch Online.

This service also includes the NES games (add the price of a NES mini?), and new titles are being added to both libraries.

Plus you have the ability to play on the go and the SNES controllers are not a necessity you could you the joycons, admittley not as good.
