The year is 2132 and the earth’s remaining resources have been mined to create Space Ribbon, a reality TV racing platform set in the far reaches of the galaxy. Giant pandas and tigers spew illuminated ribbons of solid space junk from their mouths (space ribbons.)
Humans compete by racing on these platforms, using the beaten up cars left strewn across the dystopian earth of 2132. This hedonistic pastime has become the fastest growing sport in the galaxy.
The aim of game is to chase down a giant space beast and race to enter the creature’s mouth as it spews out a series of different psychedelic racetracks. Modify your junked up classic car and compete to become the intergalactic winner.
The world is watching you…

Not supposed to be great

Random procedurally generated tracks.

The game slows the winner down and rewards other players with 'speed' built up on a boost bar for tailgating the leader... So you have a weird setup where you are rewarded for being 2nd for the race then you can overtake the leader at the last second and they haven't a hope of catching you.
The local multiplayer has a unique option where one player creates the track as the others race it. I've never known any racing game that does this on the fly. Also messing around with the gravity settings on local multiplayer is lots of fun, for 48p it's a good deal, just don't be expecting F-Zero.
