Wtf even is that op.
These things need to come down at least £150 for me to be interested. I'm not having a repeat performance of a WiiU
Terrible. Just terrible. In every way.

The switch is miles better than the Wii u
So is this a switch with Splatoon and then some stationary??? Expensive stationary then, and not even a Mario lunchbox to sweeten the deal. Cold.

Maybe so but they said the same thing when the WiiU came out compared to the likes of PS4/Xbone because it was different. Anyway there isn't alot of choice for what I need. I will give it a year then they start to re-release old retro instead of big titles

The Wii U sold around 14 million units in its lifetime. The Switch sold around 18 million units in its first year.

True, but the largest percentage of games are old third party ports or straight ports from the Wii U with the minimum of DLC (e.g. Funky Kong) and changes.
Wee U..
Cold. Misleading Title

That's fair. I suspect the Switch is in it for the long haul, though as once the 3DS starts to waver, they can push for the switch to replace it as the console of choice.

Of course to get it to that point they need to get somewhere close to that $100 'buy one for each kid' biting point, so that's going to be a few years yet.

Still, I'd expect an increase in original games over the next couple of years: Nintendo don't want to let those undersold WiiU titles go to waste, but they can't coast on the WiiU's back catalogue forever. There's new Pokémon on the horizon (and on the horizon after that) and the biggest Smash game ever, but It would definitely be nice to have a clearer idea of Nintendo's long game.

Or at least to tell us where Animal Crossing is. Grumble grumble.

Erm and?? Only investors care about sales. The fact is the switch is the same power as the wiiu. Its overpriced for what it is. I want one for my kids but I won't pay more than £220 and cannot find one at that price with warranty..
Just saw this "deal" and now I can cut glass with my nipples
Nintendo Switch £249.85 at Simply Games Splatoon 2 £39.85 at BASE that's £289.70 - meaning you're paying over £40 for a notepapd, a case and some sort of charm.

Everyone cares about sales (or should do). No sales means no games.
vhero8 m ago

Erm and?? Only investors care about sales.

Investors and people who are concerned whether or not a system's userbase will be high enough to sustain it's continued support.

The biggest problem with the WiiU was that an appalling inability to market the system coherently led to the system selling well under the number of users it needed for it to be worthwhile to continue producing Wii U games. The switch has already surpassed that hurdle.
That's basically over RRP.

Believe the switch could be had for around £250-60, then the game is currently on sale digitally for £33, physical is about £35-45. That's already £305.

So the tacky looking note book, keyring and case is £25?

Standard black hard case is roughly £10 on eBay.

Same power? Lol no.
I bought a switch and I have buyer's remorse. I just get the feeling that Nintendo has all but abandoned the system like they always do.

Deluded if you think differently. But I'm here to talk about deals not argue with Nintendo fan boys.

I'm sure it's not their main focus - it's the next iteration or gimmick that's on the horizon.

I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to a ton of games coming out on the PS4 and Xbox but when it comes to the Switch, I'm left scratching my head wondering why I bought it - in a nutshell 3 or 4 games, two of which were remakes from the Wii which I never got around to buying the first time. Since playing them, there's really been nothing much else to buy that grabs my interest and nothing of note coming out. I remember playing the Nintendo 3ds and playing so many interesting games and having fun but this system seems dead! I keep reading about how the Nintendo switch is doing so well, a runaway success and sales have been so much higher than anticipated but I just don't get it. It sometimes feels like the emperor's new clothes..

There's a distinct lack of any strategy going forward in my opinion - online service coming a year and a half after launch, no cloud uploads, few if any exclusives, poor third party support (indie game ports, wow!) poor showing at e3, no apps such as netflix, youtube, internet browser etc but these are on the way after all this time. Feels like an incomplete product with no future.

How is it ridiculous? Have you not seen how systems from the Gamecube, the 3ds, Wii and Wii U were all but abandoned?

How have they abandoned the system? They have a new Metroid game, animal crossing, smash, mariokart, 3 Pokemon Games, bayonetta, Star Fox, luigi’s mansion. More than likely a new switch exclusive zelda, possibly another mario or galaxy remake and pikmin.
3ds still have games coming into 2019.
wii reached the end of its natural life
gamecube and wiiu were fails but both have excellent games

3rd parties are onboard. Wolfenstein, fifa 19 etc

So when are these games coming out? Am I supposed to hold onto the system for another year because a game or two might come out? Also, you can't assume that even though some of these are big titles for the Switch, it doesn't necessarily mean that I want to buy all of them because I'm not interested in them so where does that leave me? There's not really a lot of choice for the average gamer. Wolfenstein and FIFA are hardly third party support but I guess time will tell.

Haha, and you sound like a petulant Nintendo fanboy. Why do you get nasty when someone has a different opinion? Why do you get upset because someone doesn't like something the same amount as you do? Also, I'm not a millennial as it happens, I'm 38 but that's not the point - I'm a consumer and I'll buy games from companies that are invested in their user base. If Nintendo continue in this same vein then I will look elsewhere. Drop in the ocean of course and of little concern to most but that's my prerogative. I find your childish retorts typical of any fanboy. I mean, how dare I criticise the precious Nintendo

It would be the same whatever we were talking about. You need instant gratification.
Not a nintendo fanboy btw. Just a games fan that owns just about every console made.
I bid you goodnight

Nope, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. I'll leave it at that.
