Agree with everything you say
Nice! This one hardly budges on price.

Am I the only one that wasn't that into this? I don't like hand holding but a bit of direction would be good
Best game in decades.

Pause the game and open the Adventure Log (or whatever its called). This is what to look at if you get stuck, it tells you all the quests, side quests etc etc and pin points them on the map. But the real fun is just exploring the beautiful landscape at your own pace.. walk from one side of the map to another (if you can!) and objectives aplenty will cross your path.

2.5 years and Ninty games hold their value

This is why I don't buy Nintendo consoles. This game is over 2 years old and £39 is still considered a deal. I'm sure it will still be this price after another 2 years as well.

But that's a good thing. You can buy a game, complete it, and sell it on without much of a loss.

Really contemplating getting the revised Switch, with this game for £309.99.

I have an X, and a Pro, but would quite like a portable.

Is the Switch worth it?

The thing that most puts me off is the (greedy) pricing of the games.

Also, I notice that many of the games are kiddy games.

If anyone can advise, I thank you in advance.

Thanks.

Mate he Switch is an insanely good console especially portable.

I love it in handheld and I use it for indy games (the battery life is doubled with less intensive games like the Binding of Isaac and Slay the Spire, both amazing btw) .

The problem with Zelda is that yes there is a huge map and loads of content but the enemies are boring, the weapons break too easily, the game lacks direction and regardless of wether you like or not it is overrated because it is a zelda game.

A lot of games have done what it does earlier and better.

Im not hating on anyone for enjoying it, each to their own but most reasonable gamers can see this is overrated as it got 10/10 everywhere.
How do you translate the page?
Does it come with Italian box?

As someone who’s rarely played other Zelda games, I couldn’t disagree more.

This took me a long time to properly get into. I kept feeling lost and not knowing what I was doing. Once I realised I should treat it more like an Elder Scrolls game and just explore and talk to people, I started enjoying it so much more. Now I absolutely love it, and think it is easily one of the best games of all time that I’ve played. It’s also absolutely beautiful. I think it deserves all the praise it gets. My only gripe is the frame rate drops that occur in busy areas of the game, which I wouldn’t expect for a first party console exclusive. Minor gripe though in the grand scheme of things. It’s made all the more sweeter by how easy the Switch lets you pick up and play.

Great game once you understand what you're doing (which can take a while). I still prefer Mario Odyssey personally though. Spent 150 hours on Zelda and 140 on Odyssey. Far more to do in Zelda but Odyssey is a fantastic platformer.

As always, the truth is somewhere in the middle. I'd never played a Zelda game before this one so no bias. It's one of the most overrated games I've ever played but it's still very very good.
Out of stock?

Objectively this game has received more 10/10 than any other game in history. That wouldn't happen for no reason. not many games get 10/10 from gameinformer, polygon, gamespot, ign, edge all at once.

they tried claiming the scores are only like that cause its Zelda. that makes no sense because it's a HUGE departure from usual zelda games, the game would've been under far more scrutiny because it's nothing like classical zelda games, and still had to measure up & manages to do that.

It wasn't just gaming sites and players in general that that were raving about it, The biggest Game creators were gushing over this game. that only happens when a game is something special.

does this mean everyone is going to enjoy it, of course not. It just means if you enjoy playing video games you have to experience it.

Nothing wrong with not liking it, But objectively speaking the game is not a hot mess, that would say more about him than the game.

lol a game being suitable for children doesn't make it less of a game. Blood and violence is a gimmick. think of it this way, toy story is a kids film. still incredibly good.
One of the best games Ive ever played.... and I've been around for quite a while! Took me a second attempt to get in to it but once I did I found it simply amazing.

So I am a hot mess cos I don't like Breath of the wild?

You really are a sad person.

I never even said anything about blood and violence.

Your comments are so subjective, get real.

I wasn't talking about the game opinions im talking about what he says …I wasn't talking about the game opinions im talking about what he says otherwise.Link in your name so figures why youre upset about a game...

Ok let me break some things down for you.

He said the fact you called it a "hot mess" implies something about you -- he did not at any point call you a hot mess. He also did not criticise you for the fact you don't like the game but because you called it a hot mess without any justification; that's a very harsh judgement for it and if you're not gonna back it up with some kind of reasoning then your claim has no validity.

Now that we understand that, it's kind of rude for you to go calling a stranger a "sad person" when they didn't actually say anything to or about you. Launching personal insults like that really doesn't reflect well on you so you might wanna go easy there.

Next up, I think you missed the fact that this person wasn't responding to you and was merely giving their opinion to someone else; they are fully aware that you never said anything about blood or violence, they were sharing their opinion of blood and violence in games with someone else.

As for the big issue with both your comments: you said "your comments are so subjective" and when I called you out you claimed "I wasn't talking about the game opinions im talking about what he says otherwise"; these are both very vague statements and if you want me to understand exactly what comments you find subjective, you should actually quote them. Being vague may protect you from being called out, but it also invalidates what you're saying.

I don't know if you've had a bad day but it's pretty clear you are just looking for someone to argue with. You seem to think you got me with the "you're upset about a game" line but for one thing, I never gave my opinion on the game and for another, it's naïve to assume that the word Link in my name is related to the Zelda games. Plus there's the fact that I couldn't care less whether you like or dislike games; I just wanted to call out an angry person that was making comments that made no sense and had no supporting evidence of any kind.

Here are some rational, respectable ways for you to proceed here:
- Come up with counter arguments to some of my points and make a reasonable case in the hopes of changing my mind
- Conclude that maybe I'm right here and use this experience to develop as a person and move on with life
- Politely apologise for the unrelated personal comments, express no further interest in continuing the conversation and stop responding

Here are some less rational, pathetic methods which you shouldn't choose:
- Blast off more personal insults about how I'm wrong, you're right and I am flawed as a person, continuing to not back up your comments with valid reasoning
- Try to get the last word in, say "who cares" and play it off as though there must be something wrong with me for bothering to call you out in the first place
- Repeat the same things you've already said without adding anything to them
- Try and find some insignificant, unrelated piece of information about me so you can pettily try to change the topic and ignore all the valid criticisms I made so you don't have to actually think about things or learn anything from this encounter

Tl;dr
You need to actually read the whole thing because it's obvious you're having difficulties interpreting what other people are trying to say. I'm really not trying to be offensive, I'm just pointing out some issues and hoping for a productive discussion.

If you keep your eyes out you can nab great deals on Switch titles, Example would be the one on this thread. I got BotW a year ago (Still haven’t played though ), For £22 - thanks to Amazons £25 off £40 deal, Got Mario Kart Deluxe for £17 from the same deal. Those weren’t the only occasions, In fact my whole Switch collection was bought for way under RRP thanks to sales or offers, And they’re mostly first party Nintendo titles!
