Yeah I did post that deal several weeks ago, I have no idea why it got expired though.

Seems cold considering the fact that the Wii U is right around the corner.

Been this price in store for months. There's also the blue with Olympics game & white with Wii
Party

Doesnt everyone have one of these by now!!!?

On the plus side, I think the Wii in this bundle plays Gamecube games whereas the Olympics one might not.

I love my Wii, although I'd be cautious about buying some new due to some of them no longer having GameCube game support, in my opinion it'd be more worthwhile to get a pre-owned one as there's also the addition of being able to be naughty and install homebrew whilst having the option to play GameCube games (just my personal opinion though!)

But in regards to this deal whilst it is hot (at the current time of this post and in comparison to other retailers/vendors current prices) Wii's in general really should be cheaper now due to the looming release of the Wii U.

Point taken but please don't encourage any naughtiness on here. People earn a living making those games and no-one has the right to rip them off. If you're going to do it (the general you, not you specifically) then please at least have some shame in it and keep it to yourself. If you disagree, offer someone your pay at the end of a days labour, let them walk off without saying thank you, and see how you feel.

£80 is bl**dy cheap, it comes with Mario Kart and the Wii Wheel as well, how much do you want it for - a tenner?

I make my own games *makes ashamed face*

I agree with the point made however whilst homebrew itself is considered naughty it is legal however, the way in which its used can be for illegal purposes is such as using it to play pirated games.
I do not condone or support piracy and enjoy having an extra dvd player, plus additional homebrew browser for the extras such as the space map and snake etc.

I bought mine for £40 and got Mario Kart given as a gift but as said that was pre-owned and not new.
I just think that everyone's still trying hard to get their pennies worth what with the Wii U soon to be around but this always happens with consoles as the Wii's will be much cheaper when the Wii U does eventually get released.

Lol. Like anyone gives a toss. Most piracy is not a lost sale in the first place. You've just been suckered by the whinging devs (in fact it's mostly the greedy publishers, not the devs). You fell for it hook like and sinker. Finally, if somebody wants to buy a Wii and run homebrew or whatever else, you have not right to tell them to do otherwise. You tell people to keep it to themselves, but maybe you should keep your opinions of them to yourself?

I bought one from Morrisons in this £80 deal a few weeks ago and it has Gamecube support.

When buying, just make sure the box shows the Wii in a vertical orientation (like the MarioKart bundle thumbnail at the very top of this thread) and you'll be okay. If it shows the Wii in a horizontal orientation (London Olympics bundle) then it's a newer model with no Gamecube support.

>RE homebrew
Ridiculously easy to do (even on newer models)... although it does invalidate your warranty.

I homebrewed mine using the Twilight hack and when my Wii burnt out Ninty fixed it FOC.
I expected a £60 bill but they just sent it back fixed.

Doing that fix allows you to play DVD's on a wii but doing so burns out the wii.
But it also allows avi's to be played on a wii, something else they blocked out for no real reason. The DVD was so they didn't have to pay a license but avi dunno

Anyway when the Wii U comes out, expect wii's, PS3 and 360 to all drop in price

In conjunction with the £5 off when you spend £40 offer at Morrisons at the moment it takes the price down to £75 - bonus!
