If you want GameCube compatibly make sure to go for the RVL001 model and not a RVL101.
King of consoles, just home brewed mine, it is spectacular, Wii u next hopefully.

Hard to vote this hot when these seem to be consistently going up in price... They are great fun, hackable and all the rest, but they’re not scarce - so the price isn’t justified IMHO given the age and availability of the console. Bought mine from Music Magpie a few years back for about £15 (which was admittedly a good deal at the time.)

They're not a charity, don't believe anyone is dragged in off the street and forced to sell to them.

Occasionally use them, possibly get more from ebay but selling to them avoids the whole hassle of non-payers or scammers submitting a claim to PayPal.

Its the discounted version, meaning that the console might have a good few marks on it or the controllers might be third party ones, i don't trust CeX in the slightest but this is still a pretty good price for one of these. I'm sure they include a nunchuck with it too and they're annoying to get a hold of too cause they're prone to breaking

Edit: The warranty is a great addition too!

I sold a few of these to Cex when they were selling them for £80-£90, and Wii Sports was £30 I'm gonna miss that time

I bought the discounted version for £25 a year ago and it's in pretty much almost perfect condition. Only downside is the top lid for the GameCube ports isn't fitted on properly so keeps coming off. That said, it can be a different experience for everyone of course

Yeah CeX are really all over the place, i've gotten stuff completely perfect in the past, but then other times they've been a complete wreck. I bought the Joel edition of Tlou from them online, and what I got was the box with the game flapping around in it and some stickers literally everything was missing apart from the stickers

Think I got mine for about £12 a couple of years ago?
So cheap for such an incredible console!

How do you play Arcade roms on it... Simpsons, Alien vs Predator, etc
I got one for a tenner about 2 years ago.

How times change, the price on this does keep moving based on stock levels I suppose, outside of that, we'd need one of these

Wouldn't know haven't tried it yet but there is the mame emulator on Wii homebrew (Simpson arcade should run, not sure about avp). Just found this it does look good:

Will try and load Simpson arcade and let you know (but I'm almost certain it will run, it's a 2d side scroller and I've been playing Simpson hit and run, which is 3d perfectly on homebrew).

ATM I've been enjoying having loads of Wii and game cube games to play on demand:

Do a search on google. Loads of videos on you tube. I have a SNES emulator on mine which is excellent, also have one for n64 too
You can buy a cheap SNES controller for it too.
Easy to hack with a sd card and all u need is an external hdd for games! Great console

Controller alone is probably worth that price

No it's called Google.

Google Wii hack and it's literally the first hit. Not hard.

For that price I would say keep checking Shpock and Facebook marketplace... you can pick them up with a selection of games and a couple of controllers

Imagine that.
Buying something, adding value and selling it for a profit.
How dare they!
Whilst we’re at it let’s also boycott car dealerships and supermarkets!
Such an underrated console
Whilst it is a good price and comes with a 24 months warranty, I'd be sceptical on its condition, coming from CeX.
I saw this deal and was about the jump on it but then saw the black version on eBay with 3 games for the £2 more and with all accessories and unused genuine controller and nun chuck. Granted no 24 months warranty but atleast I know the condition of the console, which looks in great order.
Those asking for help look on YouTube 1st you need to load LetterBomb with SD card....this will be 1st thing you need to do....and if this gives you a pass then the rest will be easy with Backup Manager, you can also load other emulator and play games from old school games...if it fails then you won't be able to do it...Good luck.

I bought a discounted condition Wii console from CeX a year ago and the condition is fine, other than the lid for the GameCube ports isn't on properly (doesn't bother me at all though)

It can be different for everyone but you can return the console no questions asked in store within 14 days for online orders to the original payment method. Returns are within 2 days if you purchase in-store and voucher refund only though so it's worth buying online
I know it depends on needs etc, but a generally what is considered by people here to be the best all round old console for emulation? What id most straight forward also? The PS portable is a popular option for handheld emulation?

I'm just amazed the anti-rom Police have not been on here yet, time yet...
