Shouldn't we "F5" now for about an hour to see if someones card details aren't verified.:giggle:

Wish they had limited this to one per customer... stock might have lasted a bit longer.

:giggle: more than likely someone's card details wont go through. Chances are loads of people are refreshing though lol

I had that set up, but it then gave an option of changing the delivery to get it free. Ever the one for saving money I clicked that button, it was too tempting. :-(

I was then caught in a Bermuda triangle, and ending up with two in my basket.

By the time I dumped one out, it was nearly too late. :w00t:

Anyone stil wanting one, keep checking because people may have done what I did.

I'd rather pay free delivery, but £1.69 is hardly noticeable.

Ah well never mind, I had randomly clicked on my amazon link I have in my bookmark bar, by the time I had gone through the hassle of getting link etc it must have been posted on the Wii bargain thread, at which point this whole site went off and bought one

Maybe I'll get to start the next Wii thread when some more become available, lol.

Mike..

thanks to everyone who posted the notification , i am sure we all appreciate it regardless of who was first..

shame i missed out this time

That's the thing, I wasn't even able to work out if free delivery was an option anyway. :prop: I was just led down 1 way streets for what seemed like an eternity.

I ended up paying the extra. :giggle:

It was limited to one per customer.. It wouldn't allow me to buy one.
I guess because I bought one from Amazon earlier in the year?

my status has changed to Dispatching Soon so should hopefully get it

This isnt the case with amazon, you can only add one at a time but it says on the site that you can have 3 diff orders - so the ebayers will have bagged most of these

damn these go fastttt!!

Quite surreal this morning - wifey has just about given up hunting for one of these things then I spot the Argos £240 'package' and order (inspite of not really wanting the bundled games) then decide to browse Amazon to read reviews of the games and as I'm staring at the console (at about 9am) I realise it says 'in stock' - nearly choked on my tea and ordered another 1 - yes I got very lucky (quite unlike me) - friends are also after this so I think they may be getting the Argos 'bundle' (and brownie points for me!).:whistling:

Well done, great to hear you got one!

The big stock shortage... it seems everywhere is getting plenty - OK they sell out fast but i don't think the demand is as big as it was a couple of weeks ago.

Amazon allow you to buy 3 per calendar month. I think the ebayers will get around this somehow by different accounts and addresses? Hmmm

Dont blame Nintendo for shortage of stick... see this:

Madness!

I presume its an ebayers picture, so what?! that image could be for any back room of Hmv, game or warehouse. the problem is not the shortage as they are available with only 1/2 days searching at most, the problem is the bundles that shops are forcing onto people. ebayers are selling the console on its own, people pay the £200+ rather than get a bundle.

What I do not understand is this, some people only want the Wii with Wii Sports and no games, then plan to buy games 'later' but the problem is that Nintendo are known for keeping games prices at full RRP alot longer (look at gamecube games, theyve gone up in price!) than Sony and Microsoft and other publishers so in the end (most probably Jan sales) they go out and buy the games at RRP or very near to RRP therefore paying more than a regular Gamestation £300 bundle as theyve paid premium just for the Wii.

Stupid bundles on the otherhand are totally unacceptable, total profiteering and also buy it now ebayers, the auction ebayers are fine as its buyers who dictate price.
