whhoop!

I had been thinking about purchasing a Wii U for a while and am glad that I did! This package is good value for money with two games - Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon and 32GB memory. You can also use the Wii balance board and Wii controls with it - otherwise you would be paying out a lot more money to get full use out of the Wii U.
Mario Kart 8 is a brilliant game. All Wii U owners should have this game! When I saw this bundle, Splatoon didn't really appeal to me much but I purchased this bundle as you get two games (and I wanted Mario Kart 8). Having now played Splatoon, it is a lot better than I thought it would be. It is different to any other game I have played and my nephew loves it!
I like the fact that you can download BBC Iplayer onto the Wii U. Lovefilm, Youtube and Netflix are already downloaded onto it. You can also browse the internet, play your old Wii games on it, connect to the Miiverse or access the Nintendo eshop for the latest news and releases. It is very easy to use and easy to set up.
I also found that you can download game demos for free from the Nintendo eshop, which is good as you can try before you buy. You can also purchase a lot of the old NES, SNES, Gamecube, etc games to play on the Wii U which is great.
Overall this is a great purchase and I recommend this over other Wii U bundles which seem to come with one game and cost more.

£199 with Splatoon. £40 for Mario Kart, I'm not feeling it.

Yeah, around the same time they (Argos) were bundling them with Wii games, I think.

Exactly, With Nintendo revealing the NX later today and all

It still baffles me that Nintendo haven't really knocked the prices down on the U now. Not that we know what NX is going to be exactly, but I would think if you haven't bought a U now, you're not going to spend £240 on one! At least for most buyers anyway.

I know you get games, but you can get an XO for less and a PS4 for not much more! And although I prefer the games on my U, you're not going to be getting much going forward.

Way too overpriced, should be £150 by now with NX coming out next year

Yep, around 8 months until the NX is out. I'd just save the money and use it on NX when it's out in March 2017.

It's such a great machine op, in fact it still remains the most played in our house despite the other systems.

Exactly. £239ish is what I paid around 6 months after the Wii U's launch with several more games and a Wii U Pro Controller, now though.. this isn't very appealing to many. It's a better deal to wait and use the money on the NX.

Tesco outlet on eBay are (or were) seeing seller refurbished ones for 180. I bought the Mario maker premium and it looked brand new
