CEX ' Discounted' usually means it's been dragged down the road behind a pick up truck....
I bought the console & controller for £63 after discount. No mention of power cable tho.
Grade a 100 quid in cex

Yep, & using wimmfi patched wii games you can play those online too.

The wii u is wide open currently & is so similar to the wii online system that I'd be surprised to if the wimmfi style system isn't adopted for the wii u sooner rather than later, which would be great for longevity of online on the system.

FWIW the wii u is very easy to hack now, so a an hours work, a good sd card & a portable hdd makes it into a brilliant machine capable of playing Nintendo classics & modern games better than anything else I've used, & being able to use the homepad controls with emulators makes it a great couch retro gaming system too.

It doesnt say there are any, just a controller. We'll see, I think a power supply is only a tenner. I'll reuse all the wii accessories.
Don't forget to look into CEMU Wii-U emulator on PC, it's surprisingly good, most games I've played have run at 60fps in 1440p. I was going to buy a Wii-U intil i tried it. You can get them on CashConverters for about £96 but I'd pay a few quid extra to use music magpie, Cashconverters tend to send consoles in plastic bags then fob you off when you complain about shipping damage - I'm having to do a charegeback for a smashed up PS4.

how did you get this to run? I've tried and just gives me errors when loading any game
Also the gamepad can be used as a gamecube now thanks to a certain guy on the nintendon't project. Believe me the £100 investment is worth it in the long term.

I followed guides by BSoD gaming on Youtube,
Not that much of a deal. I got my Wii U from Game for about £90 ages ago.

Can you PM me with any good tutorials on this? I'm keen to learn but dont have a WiiU, if it is as wide open as you say.....i may just indulge. Soft/Hard whatever, I have experience in both. Ta in advance.
Have a look at the gbatemp wii u forums - excellent tutorial there which walks you through each step.
I bought one recently and hacked it. Have the full GameCube and Wii U library (with all dlc) as well as a load of Wii, n64, nes, sega etc. games. It’s such a great little machine, and so cheap.
Don’t really see the point given how mature CEMU is now

Sent mate.
I bought the cheaper Wii U, just the controller + console. Literally just that no power cable.

Anyone know a decent place to buy a genuine adapter apart from fleebay/amazon? There are loads of copies..
CEMU is good but the Wii U hardware is brilliant. You can play NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii and Wii U games on your TV or from the gamepad screen when the TV is already in use using Nintendo hardware. Games are cheap and there's some great classics available.

Installing homebrew, emulators, and backups is also possible using a software mod.

I can do that on my PC too, plus BoTW at 4K

Can stream it to my tablet or laptop too if I wanted.

Last time I looked CEMU had a few bugs making certain games such as BotW impossible to complete.

That was like 6+ months ago.

It's great now.

4670k + GTX 1070 Ti, getting 30+ fps outside at 4k, 60fps+ in shrines at 4k.
