No no they wont, not all the time, some games will only support motion plus especially first party titles. There are some games they will work with but not all not at all.

Barely any game requires motion plus.

Heck there aren't even that many Wii games that can use motion plus, let alone Wii U games.

Hmm almost 4hrs and 200 degrees without the mandatory 'the Wii u is a dead console', 'no games', etc comments? Has hell frozen over, world cone to an end, and other such cliches? Or are the usual posters out enjoying the weather?

Exactly, this I just want to play Zelda Skyward Sword in HD ! Still too expensive to justify that particular luxury tho ...still hot if you want to play Wii u games (nothing has knocked my socks off yet, needs a new Zelda )

It just depends on the game. Nintendo Land for example requires MotionPlus, and CoD Black Ops does not. You can pick up generic MotionPlus adapters off eBay or Amazon for about £4. All your wiimote wii games will just work as normal with them.

Zelda SS won't be in HD on the Wii U or any other Wii game played on the Wii U. The picture and colours are improved slightly, but Wii games don't magically become HD X)
Does anyone know how much space the Snes and N64 games from the virtual console take up. The one's I'm after are super Mario world, super ghouls and ghosts and Mario golf to name a few.

Nothing at all and it doesn't matter anyway I just threw in a cheap 32gb USB stick in the back, sorted.

Most NES games are 16MB. SNES games are around 25MB. There are no N64 games on wii U VC just yet but cart sizes went up to 64MB though the largest N64 game on Wii VC is about 36MB.

Think you will find Wii games are not upscaled, so not sure how you think you are going to play old Wii games in "HD".

Will look exactly the same as it did on the Wii, a now £40-£50 console.

People making up crap to defend this turd of a console now.

Sorry, but this reply is well OTT. He wasn't making anything up, he was just confused is all. There was no need to have a meltdown. If you feel so negatively about something you shouldn't be in the thread time and time again.

And why are you in the thread, you already have the crap, need some common sense to balance out the rabbid fanboying.

Do these have the equivalent of a "softmod" yet?

I try and offer helpful advice and facts and highlight the bogus crap because I own a Wii U.

Sort your life out, you're obviously a very unhappy young man. Find something positive to do with your life instead of hanging around Wii U threads calling it a 'turd'. Take a step back and realise how silly and mindless you act.

No, not in Wii U mode. You can install Homebrew Channel in Virtual Wii mode with SmashStack, but there are reports USB loaders have stopped working since the last update.

So far the DSi and 3DS have not been hacked, so it might be best not to hold your breath for a Wii U hack.
Edited by: "MadeInBeats" 22nd Jul 2013
For the Virtual wii alone would be great, but if an update breaks usb loaders....
Morning. Do i need to get a 32gb wii u console or is the 8gb have enough memory for game saves and transfer of memory from my wii.
I've got 40+games and 10 virtual console games.
Thanks

If that's all you want to do yes it should be enough. All the Wii stuff can be stored on memory card in the memory card slot anyway, just like on the Wii. The Wii mode side of the Wii U operates just like a Wii console, so you would have 2000 blocks internal storage, then when that's gone you store on SD. The Wii U mode doesn't have access to the SD card slot generally except for, apparently, storing pictures of Miis and QR codes.

Well nice to see the world has not in fact come to an end, etc, was inevitable that there would be at least one Wii u hater in a Wii u thread(reser in this case currently) tho it did take longer than usual.

Guess then Wii u bashers have such a s**t life that they have to go in every Wii u thread just to post comments on apperently how crap it is(its personal opinion so not a fact).

And before reser etc has a go at me for defending the Wii u because I own one, well sorry to burst your bubble but I don't own one just had enough with the usual crap that gets posted by the Wii u haters in every single thread(similar with the vita tho that seems to have come down a bit recently tho you still get it).

You've made twice as many posts about Wii U haters as Wii U haters have made in this thread. oO
Cheers Made in Beats!
Want this just for the Mario games for my kid
