Not the cheapest but a good price for what you get. The Mario bundle is probably the better value in my opinion though

You need to edit the post OP as the Mario and Luigi bundle doesn't come with both games seperate they are on one disc in a double pack. So it's not possible to sell both games separate.

Added it. Although I may have over-estimated the value. It seems to sell for £35-40 now. Oh well.

I bought one last week from Game online for 229 with Nintendoland, Mario and Sonic Olympics and Sports Connection. Traded Mario and Sports for 24 and got £4 odd in reward points (plus quidco).

So, £200 with Nintendoland. There's also the same deal but 249 with Zelda so only £20 for that (digital copy, I'd rather have physical).

These are good deals, but not the cheapest if you do a little work trading the fillers.

If you've picked this deal up do drop a line on the HUKD Wii U Owners thread - hotukdeals.com/mis…216

If you're looking for other Wii U-related deals to pick up more software or hardware for your Wii U, the Wii U deals collection thread should be able to help you out - hotukdeals.com/dea…316

Revzman claims he's a Nintendo fan...

I'm a fan and owner of a NES, EU SNES, American SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Gameboy and Nintendo DS. I'm a fan of Nintendo, aggregated over the years. I'm not a fan of the current incarnation run by Iwata, nor am I a fan of the Wii U, mostly from a design and cost perspective. Nor is the consumer hence why Nintendo slashed sales forecasts from 9m to 2.8m a couple of days ago.

I'll still get one when it costs £99.95 though.

Seems a good price if you ask me, saying wait for the price cuts is just stupid, unless you KNOW there will be price cuts, then there is little point in waiting for a day that may not come for the next 3 months.

I think this console is great, but with Nintendo tripling spending on a successor, the writing is on the wall for WiiU. I think potential buyers should wait until it's a bit cheaper.

BBC article from today:

Shares of Japan's Nintendo plunged as much as 18% on Monday after the … Shares of Japan's Nintendo plunged as much as 18% on Monday after the gaming giant issued a profits warning. On Friday, Nintendo said it expects to make an operating loss of 35bn yen ($335m; £205m) for the financial year ending 31 March 2014.It had initially forecast an operating profit of 100bn yen for the period. The company blamed weaker-than-expected sales of its Wii U console during the holiday season for the downgrade in its earnings forecast. As a result, it lowered its global Wii U sales forecast for the business year from nine million to 2.8 million units - a cut of nearly 70%.Nintendo also reduced the sales forecast for its 3DS console from 18 million to 13.5 million units. The firm's shares fell to as low as 11,935 yen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Monday.Mario on mobile? The maker of Super Mario and Donkey Kong had previously hoped to match the global success of its original Wii game console which helped raise the firm's shares to a record high in 2007.The company had, till three months ago, backed its initial forecasts for Wii U sales despite setbacks in markets such as the UK.In July last year, UK supermarket chain Asda said it would no longer be selling the Wii U in its stores. But the gaming giant has faced stiff competition from rival console makers including Microsoft with its new Xbox One, and Sony with its new PlayStation 4.At the same time, some console makers are moving towards allowing users to play their games without the need to own a console.Earlier this month, Sony announced plans to make its games available over a variety of devices, including its smart TVs as well as other third-party products.Analysts said that given these factors, Nintendo - which has so far not allowed its games to be played on tablets or other mobile devices - needed to re-evaluate its strategy."Its console-based business model spells doom for stakeholders," analysts at Jefferies wrote in a note. "It has no choice but to accept the change.""We believe Mario on mobile is coming."

I've already advised him to take his views to Misc where he's very welcome to express his opinions and have discussions with others about Nintendo's financial position and the status of Wii U sales.

I'd just recommend reporting for threadspoiling or whatever the term might be if he continues further here. Fan or no fan. Others may agree with his views and that's perfectly fine - just that Wii U deal threads aren't the place to do it. There's Misc for that.

@Revzman - I am not taking sides here but you have, on many occasions now, made your point of view plain and clear. I didn't know before your post the issues that Nintendo are having and I am now in the know that there may be price reductions in the future so thank you.

Might I now suggest that seeing as you have made your point so clearly, that you take a step back and move on otherwise you risk making yourself look like a troll.

And what a shocker, they were much cheaper shortly after that. As was Tony Hawk's Ride, and the U Draw tablet, among other things. I, like them, feel the need to save my fellow HUKDers money. I'll point out the Wii U's sales and forecast in every Wii U thread. The difference is that DJ Hero, Tony Hawk's Ride, U Draw Tablet, Blackberry Playbook and the HP Touchpad had no loyal fanboys who felt the need to defend those products when people were telling everyone to wait for price cuts.

Your predicted price cuts will purely be done for shareholders and mean the end of the Wii U. There is currently no profit in the machine and Nintendo arnt producing the games at a rate to make up for dwindling 3rd party support. £99 will not represent better value when Nintendo cancel more than half of their projects for the Wii U.

If people want to support the Wii U today and hope Nintendo can still afford to support it, then thats up to them, its either now or never.
Half the price orf an iphone with 4 top games today is excellent value entertainment.

It's partly your attitude that killed the Dreamcast. MIllions of gamers regret not enjoying the Dreamcast whilst it was current and still had a buzz about it's games. In retrospect the Dreamcast is talked about as one of the best consoles.

You say your're going to buy the Wii U at £99 becuase you don't agree with their current policies compared to the NEs and SNES days. So you must be at least in your 30s perhaps 40s. Have you thought of crowfunding your perfect console? When you start talking to chip designers and factories in China, I doubt very much you'll get anywhere near the Wii U quality at it's current price, let alone £99. There are many people frustrated with Nintendo over the years, go for it.

You see thats a realistic price. I can imagine the Basic getting reduced to £150 by retailers after a price cut by Nintendo. Although I would expect the 3D world bundle to cost £169-£179 as a realistic GUESS, because that's what it is. Just because I have an opinion that it MAY get cheaper doesn't mean I would discourage anyone from buying now, especially considering the value of these bundles.

Regardless of how the Wii U is doing or iminent price cuts in the future this price is almost today's RRP.

These were popping up for around £200 before christmas online and £200 after christmas in sainsburys.

It won't mean the end of the Wii U. Nintendo have huge cash reserves (around $8bn). Sony sold the PS3 for a c. $300 loss per unit sold. Nintendo aren't producing the games to make up for the very weak third party support, which is all the more reason for the consumer to wait for price cuts.

If you have some absurd need to support the Wii U today, fine get one. If you want a Wii U today to play the likes of 3D World, fine get one. If you're on the fence and are wondering how the Wii U is doing, I'm posting relevant information about the Wii U's plight to help you make your decision.

I didn't kill the Dreamcast. Sega killed the Dreamcast mostly by depleting consumer confidence after announcing it two years after the launch of the Saturn.

You're never going to get a good crowdfunded console. It's simply beyond a new startup to make a competitive console, in terms of support and build quality. The big three manufacture millions of consoles a year, meaning they can get components for cheaper than anyone else, so of course you're not going to get a Wii U spec console for 100 quid from a startup company. The Wii U is competing with the PS3 and Xbox 360 in terms of specs:

http://abload.de/img/capturedspupn.png

It sells significantly less than both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and even sells less than the Vita in the UK, so it's not unreasonable to say that it should be cheaper than all of them. Nintendo slashed the Gamecube price to 99 USD less than a couple of years after it launched (I got one for £60 with the Zelda collection around then) and were certainly not making a profit on them, so it's not like it hasn't happened before.

"Nintendo don't care about you" is EXACTLY the problem and the recent news from Nintendo leads me to believe that they finally are starting to care about all these gamers who aren't currently interested in the Wii U.

The Wii U is priced to be a second console, yet it still isn't selling, so now what?

You really need to get a life Revzman - you claim to be trying to save people money, but on numerous threads you just start by saying simply "not worth the money" - well if that's you opinion then fine, not sure why you are being so annoying to everyone - people are looking for the current best deals - saying waiting for a price cut is both pointless and wasting yours and everyone elses time - you could say wait for a price cut on everything, everything goes down in price at some point that is electronic so that comment is somewhat invalid - the fact you have that stupid thing as your display picture says a lot about you as well

You also keep mentioning HP a lot, as if you have some sort of vendetta against them.

I am somewhat disappointed to have wasted my time in saying all this to you when I know you won't listen and will carry on being an annoyance to everyone, but there we go.

FYI I purchased my Wii U for £249 last year and am very happy with it and have had a lot of fun on it - I could have waited but I didn't want to - and guess what, some people don't want to wait and that's why they come here.

As a final note if you would like to do the decent thing and be the bigger man for once please stop posting comments that people really don't care about, everyone knows Nintendo has struggled with the Wii U you so far, you don't need to keep reminding everyone - you might also find that you end up having a lot more time to do things you actually enjoy doing (like gaming) - unless of course you enjoy doing this random load of commenting, in which case I pity you.

Phones and tablets. Isn't that obvious from where you're getting your specs and sales graphs? In 3 years time when our smart phones at least double in power again, it will be laughable that people tried comparing specs of a toy company producing colourful family games.

Nintendo arnt interested in top trumping the PS4 then telling their studios to start producing muscley tattoed characters with guns.
