I really want one but I'm still not paying £150 for 8gb version

I don't think you do.

If you did then you'd already know that they won't go below £150 anytime soon. If anything, the price will increase over the next 6-12 months.

Much cheaper to buy this and a 32gb memory stick than a premium version for sure so hot.

Cheaper to buy this and a 500gb external than the premium so defo hot. Basic much better value for money.

If you pick this up, do add your Nintendo Network ID to this list - hotukdeals.com/mis…e=9 - and let's connect on Miiverse

The flipside is that with the Premium you get a 2 year subscription to the Nintendo Premium Network - a kind of loyalty points programme that gives you points for digital downloads.

"With every purchase or download code redemption, you can earn points at a rate of 8 points for each pound of the Nintendo eShop price of the respective download. 500 points = £5 to use in the eShop"

Looks like quite a bit of interesting eShop content to come in the next few months so may be worth factoring in your decision-making process

That's true. Unless N decide to put a use by date on your points all of a sudden so you lose a ton of them like I did on the Wii. I love Nintendo but I don't think they like me. Or anyone.

£155 is still quite a bit for a failed console with too little onboard storage.

They will come Christmas when good titles are out by then. Wouldn't be surprised if the premium drops to £179

To be fair, they did make an announcement about the change in points expiry - but I do feel they should have made it last a lifetime. The reality is, there only a handful of loyalty point systems which don't have expiry dates on them because the business benefits of doing so are less than if they had a limited life span.

It might do, aren't they phasing out the basic model?

dandoc2

That's not particularly fair though - stats are as of Dec 2012, and it launched at the end of Nov 2012. So you've just shown launch month sales figures.

dandoc2

What's that got to do with anything?

3DS Release Dates:

JP February 26, 2011[1]
EU March 25, 2011[2]
NA March 27, 2011[3]

Wii U:

JP December 8, 2012
NA November 18, 2012
EU November 30, 2012

Unconfirmed. Official line states that they're adjusting the retail stocks or something like that. It's quite possible that they'll phase out the basic model though since they're saying that the premium version was by far the bigger seller of the two options.

I don't think this is what he was originally going for, but it's been publicly stated that the vast majority of WiiU sales came in the first month. It's fairly well known the console is in trouble.

Or maybe the basic version is the one that was violated by those naughty hackers?

That's a question, not a statement!

Waiting till its £99.99 then I will bite.

Smoking hot, great deal.

I'm still waiting to bite at £19.99 for a SNES.

You'll be a toothless Zombie by then! X)

What sort of ignorant tool says they won't buy until its at £99.99. It will drop to that price with time but not for a good 5-7 years (or longer) so good luck with that.

Can see come end of year when the ps3 and xbox 360 is that price.

Price is misleading as you have to have been a member of av forums for 14 days before you qualify for free delivery. Thus price should be the price including delivery.

The price is perfectly correct. If you are not a member of AVForums yet then you might consider doing it now. So you'd qualify for the free delivery offer next time.

A bit of a grey area as there is no circumstance where non members of av forums can access that price today. So price is only available to a specific group of people and not all HUKD users. I suppose the same can be argued about Costco and Makro deals though so I take your point. Am still a bit hacked off that I can't buy one at the stated price though as I was ready to bite at the next deal that got close to the £150 mark again.

An old friend of mine had one of those. His next console was a 3DO! Seriously, I'm not making it up!
