Very tempting and great find, what's expansys selling reputation like? I've never dealt with them.
3% with topcashback too
Very tempted. I only want Monster Hunter though so need to be sensible and wait till March/April.
Great deal! Thanks for posting
This will fail so badly, the pads are too expensive - and as the Wii is a "party console", this will not help.
Sad to see Nintendo like this

Did we all not say that about the Wii 6 years ago because of the weird motion controllers? It then went on to be the 3rd best selling console (not including hand-held) of all time. IMO the wii was not that good as there was no appealing games on the system. Am not saying the Wii U is going to be my number 1 console but I think its going to be good. The controller does looks a little off putting but at least it does not involve me constantly waving my arms around like an idiot.

The only thing I don't like about the Wii U is the tablet controller. Not because it looks to big but because they look and most likely are expensive. Am I right in thinking in Japan these cost around £140? I think most parents are going to be really **** at Nintendo over these controllers. As I can see a lot of kids breaking there controller within a few months.

The problem with that is that you need to get out of the thinking that more than one player needs the pad. Games will be designed around only a single player using the pad with others using the Pro controller or Wii Remotes.

Yes... a new console... with a new pad.....

Good for you, but out of the consoles, the WIi is still considered the console that you would all use if you had people around due to it being easy to use.
Offtopic:50 games? I can barely think of 20 Decent games that I wouldn't consider party games - e.g. Mario kart

A lot of those are either remakes, compilations or inferior versions of titles available on the other consoles.

This seems like a good deal if you want one but the console itself is expensive for what it is in my opinion and doesn't really offer anything new. History will repeat itself when Microsoft or Sony release a new system next year and it leaves the WiiU looking like last generation's tech, which to be fair, it is.

Regardless of how successful or unsuccessful it may become - this is a good deal. Nice find, thanks OP

Tempted... They take no money?? Cancel any time??? Yes, I'm tempted.

You forgot Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and House of the Dead: Overkill. Not to mention Super Mario Bros Wii, Rayman Origins, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars, TMNT: Smash-Up, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Gravity....
5 years too late!
Preordered mine with Amazon, now waiting and praying for the inevitable price war!
what gets me, looking at that list of Wii games, is how it would compare to a list of the top ps3 or 360 games. not by graphics or even quality but by variety of game types and play style. there's a huge variety of game types there. ps3 or 360 list would be full of first person and third person shooters where the only variety is which button is the couch button! Plus a few episodic football games and Little Big Planet of course.
Wii u is actually sounding good. HD graphics, portability as well as motion controller makes it better than other consoles out now

I've just ordered how come it doesn't says
Any price at the checkout even on the confirmation email £0.00 plus tba on the price
When I placed the order what's going on

I think this price excludes VAT which would make it £305.99. When you order it says 'price:TBA VAT 20%:TBA'.
Nintendo... What happened to you
I work for Nintendo and, honestly with no disrespect to other things they have manufactured, I would not recommend spending a penny on this tacky kit. There are genuine flaws they are ignoring and rushing the release.
- Have a "normal pad" = Yes but have to buy the premium pack for it, or pay extra (with the basic one)
- At least 2 two times more powerful than PS3/360 ? = No, it's same but more RAM.
- 120 Gb ? 250Gb ? 500Gb ? = No 8 or 32 Gb, so you will have to upgrade at one point.
- You want a second GamePad ? = Ok but it's £120.^^
- Sensor Bar ? = Only with premium or pay extra (withe the basic one)
- The price ? = Only £300 !

Thanks Nintendo !

Nintendo makes the best games and always has done. I have owned every nintendo console and use them to play single player games 95% of the time. There are lots of great games on the wii. Xenoblade chronicles is a great example. As is The Last Story. No More Heroes is worth playing too. Or you can simply look at the front line titles such as Smash Bros, Zelda or Super Mario Galaxy, none of which are party games.
Does this include Nintendo Land?
Good stuff. I heat added.. Price will only go down.
nice-new

Nintendo didn't include higher memory because the ever decreasing cost of memory would make it more affordable to the user to be able to buy and use any usb sticks or hds that they already have. Plus the 32 isn't a HD it is ssd. It is different. No game will ever require more than one gamepad to be used so why should a second one be included. I don't no why £120 is expensive for a tablet controller. It is very much inline with similar products and tech on the market.

Most people will have sensors and wiimotes from their wiis. Nintendo are trying to make everything interoperable. I don't think Microsoft or Sony make all controllers and hardware interoperable.

The wii was £180 on launch. So if you factor in the tablet controller then the prices are reflective of what's included.

Who said it is two times as powerful as the other consoles? I don't know exactly how powerful the processor is in the wii u, but you seem to know, so can you explain to me why it is the same as the ps3 and 360. Everywhere I look it says that nintendo haven't confirmed the cpu or gpu.

It does, the only packages that don't are the Basic(white console) package, and the Premium(black console)ZombiU package.

mmm, sorry but no. pretty hard to believe someone from Nintendo itself would just come out on a UK bargain board to say that it's a flaved thing, not to buy etc etc

you could try with neoGAF, at least
As I said in an earlier post, I think the price you will be charged is £305.99 once VAT is added, so voted cold by me.
