A must have accessory for every Wii U owner! This battery replaces the one that came with the Game Pad and boasts much improved battery life.

*£16.91 is what Amazon charged me when I let them convert the price from euros and includes delivery to UK.

Good price and voted hot but the rapid charging set in your 2nd camelcamelcamel picture isn't the high capacity battery which is £24.99 at the moment.

I paid £25 from Nintendo last week.

Bargain, cheers man, been after one of these for ages now. I generally play on the Pro Controller now since the thing never dies! But the Gamepad is useful/necessary when TV is in use

Great, many thanks, was just looking for one!

I just used currency converter the price which they advertise on their site equates to £12.13 but I suppose the £16.91 u state is the added postage to the uk am I right?

I hardly use it now that you can sign in with other controllers.

Site must be getting hammered coz the page won't load!

Ordered , bargain, best price it's been.

Perhaps, like me, the original battery time of 3-4 hours was fine. Also, if you keep it charged up after every gaming session, it's ready to go, whenever.

I did, however, buy a 3rd party battery for £8. I did this because I travelled with the Wii U and used it away from the tv a lot. Still, at this price, I'm willing to upgrade to a real Nintendo product because, it feels right to do it!

Anyone finding the website crashing?

Amazon's having issues at the mo. Even the uk site is failing to load.

It's a really good price and I should bite but I rarely use the GamePad as the games I play fully support the Wii U Pro Controller.

Looks like they're being targeted with DDOS.

Forget that. Site's back online. Probably a server crash. Just ordered. Great price, thanks OP

What do you mean?

Apparently you can also use the Wii U Gamepad without a battery in it, with it just plugged into the mains; if that's more convenient for some people.

It's the best price I've seen but the normal battery lasts long enough for me and if it starts to run out, I just nab the charger from the back of the dock. Also, it's still pretty expensive for what it is. You can get 2500mAh out of a single AA battery. Stupid Nintendo.

Well, you used to have to use a gamepad to turn the system on. You couldn't get past the login page without using the gamepad.

They've changed that now with an update.

Well yes, except an AA battery is 1.5V and this is 3.6V. So it's completely different. Also the market for AA batteries is a little larger than for Wii U gamepad batteries so that drives the price down significantly.

If I'm using the game pad I can play while on the mains charger if needed, the lead is quite long.

But useful for those that need full mobility on the gamepad.

Cool. What controllers work now?

Can anyone recommend a good card to use to avoid currency conversion fees? Lots of Amazon fr/de deals about these days but I keep missing them as I know TSB will charge me.

Eh, decided to order it and then I'll sell the original on eBay for £11 or so to make some of that money back.

I really hate when the GamePad's battery dies and I don't use it so with this one it should last a lot longer.

Sadly, not for me. My Bank of Scotland card charges me an extra £1.50 for foreign charges.

The Halifax clarity card is really good - moneysavingexpert have it as their recommended card for foreign stuff. I used mine in America with no cash advance fees or currency load fees

can we use our normal amazon uk login details to order this?
