I ordered from .fr and they sent one from their UK stock anyway so definitely worth going with that option if you have a fee-free card.

Got it from Amazon France and it was totally worth it! No need to constantly have the cable every 2-3hrs.

Curse the original battery it lasted so little!

No bank fees for Amazon France I believe as they charge you in Pounds anyway as they convert it from Euros before they take payment.

I am not sure, there are fees for Amazon Italy.

You can pay in GBP or Euros. GBP uses Amazon's exchange rate which is set slightly higher than the actual exchange rate.

For this item it's a minimal saving but you would currently pay £16.09 GBP directly using Amazon's exchange rate and £15.63 using a fee-free card paying in Euros.

Edit: There's another reduction to £18.71 on Amazon.co.uk

Thanks for the heads up on that. For the first time ever, Amazon have refused to refund the difference! Don't want to reorder as mine has already been dispatched and if I reorder I'll lose my Saturday delivery!

Good price, hot. Still won't be getting one as I've not picked up the controller in months. Play Mario Kart, Smash Bros etc with other controllers, and I put the games on the TV instead so I can just launch them from a controller rather than with the tablet.

Very good price, should be the default battery with the console when bought tho tbh.

Great price, was literally about to buy the UK one as I had seen it had went down in price

To be honest I've always been fine with the standard battery. I ordered the extra life battery from Amazon Fr because I suffer from HUKD Syndrome.

just wondering if anyone has every actually had their controller run out of battery? I have a charging stand near by and it just sits on there when not in use or when I get up to do something. Never had a low battery warning.

Great deal, but because of the limited range of the gamepad, I pretty much always sit next to the charging cable. Now if someone could release a range extender, I'd be all over that!

My Gamepad sits on the charging cradle on the TV stand, so it's always powered up and ready to play. We've only managed to run down the battery a handful of times in the 18 months that I've had the console - typically when my youngest has been watching Peppa Pig on the gamepad, and then my oldest wants a Smash Bros session straight after. The idea of ME being able to play on MY games console long enough to exhaust the battery is frankly laughable.

Any idea where I can get a charger for the game pad. My son was being helpful and hoovered the other one which ripped it.

Worth every penny. And people owning other current gen consoles slating the bettery lifespan of the battery you get out of the box may want to remember that the PS4 battery has a similarly poor lifespan without the option to upgrade it.

Using amazon.fr currency converter I just got it for £16.02.

What do you estimate your battery to be abouts now with the new battery? Thanks

8hrs or so with the lowest settings on and all makes it last longer. I tend to use my Wii U now more for YouTube and Internet Browsing since I've ran out of Wii U games to play.

Totally forgot that these alternate charging methods exist too!

On eBay it costs £2 for it but considering the GamePad isn't something I'd want to risk with a third party device (even though it's just a cable) I'll stick to the power brick it came with.

Now £18.21 on Amazon, and in stock! Not expired. Grab it quick - cheapest ever it has ever been!

Shouldn't the gamepads ship with these to begin with?
