For the first time in HD, Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise comes to the Wii U console, introducing new racing circuit designs and antigravity karts that will have players driving upside down. Players will also enjoy a variety of series-favorite features, including the return of 12-player online competitive play, hang-gliders, underwater racing and motorbikes.

Mario Kart 8 Features:
The new antigravity feature allows for never-imagined racing circuit designs. Players will speed through courses and find themselves suddenly racing on walls in a haunted mansion or upside-down over Princess Peach’s Castle as their wheels automatically rotate and shift into antigravity gear. Mario Kart TV lets players share highlight videos they submitted to Miiverse. Experience a wealth of features that span the series, including 12-player online competitive play. Elements first introduced in Mario Kart 7, such as hang gliders and underwater racing, along with elements introduced in Mario Kart Wii, such as motorbikes and performing tricks in midair, also make their return.

+ 1 FREE full retail game download worth upto £40.
+ 2 year FREE extended warranty.

100+ degrees in 12 minutes!

great deal

99p cheaper than the last tesco direct pre order? Better cancel that and re order then !

He's heating up! :-) Boomshakalaka!

Hope Amazon price match

this has gotta be the price a lot of people have been waiting for, under 200 notes with two premium games, great deal for those who don't have a Wii U yet (nearly everybody).

Another 1000+ heat rating in the making? After the last deal (about 3 weeks ago) i would have thought so. These next 11 days are going to drag.

heat added.

Seriously great price, I implore you to get one if you've been on the fence, none of this "when it hits £xx" malarkey. £200 with Mario kart and another top game (I'd go for Zelda, wonderful 101, Mario bros or Pikmin) is a steal! Pick up the other top games cheap plus a few more and you have an incredible games machine to entertain you for months, all for less than "next-gen" rrp (not a fanboy, also ps4 owner)

why? you get a 2 year warranty and club card points from Tesco

Very tempted but still struggling to justify the £200. I've had ps3 and xbox 360, but just not tempted with xbone or ps4. Loved and still love the games cube. very tempted ooh, what to do, lol?

£180 thanks to staff discount? Can I really pass this up?

Don't forget to get your free game, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate are great games that still retail at a high price.

If I've already pre-ordered at £206 will they adjust the price or do I have to cancel and order again??

dont know, I've just ordered again and then cancelled the original, I suppose it depends if you're bothered about waiting upto 5 days to get your refund for the original purchase and if its worth the hastle for £7

Cheers, ordered one.

MK8 worth £40
Another game worth £25
I make out that the console costs about £135, and its a premium one.

Probably not really that much difference between the JL fiasco really.

Lol so did I. I went on their live chat and they were unwilling to knock the extra £10 off the order so just cancelled and re-ordered.

Noticed Tesco have a price promise so if it drops again no need to cancel and re-order

It depends, if the price drops no you won't. However I doubt they're going to retrospectively deduct extra coupons.

Yes they will I contacted them & they gave me a £10 refund on my order.

The price promise only works if its still cheaper on the day of release. If they put the price back up before next Friday it won't apply.

if the rumours about the sdk being leaked online are true, I might just get one of these

Very good price for this. Also comes with a 2 year warranty at the moment, does it not?

Can't wait, really looking forward to some mariokart with the kids.

Wool_Sheep

Probably not

Yeah the problem for me is I have never enjoyed Nintendo games other than Pokemon after the first hour or so, I got a PS3 for £20 in Tesco and hardly played it despite the Disc/Digital games I have and a 700+ Steam account with hardly any games played, £180 for a console I might not play much is still a lot and with Ultra SF4 a few days after I will be putting serious hours into that. first world problems I know.
Edited by: "KingofClassy" 19th May 2014

Ordered. OK, I want to play Mario Kart with my son, niece and nephew (I'm a big kid, obviously lol). I need three extra remotes. Anybody know of any deals or where best to go for these?

Don't mean to sound silly but register where ? To get the free game? Link more info please. Thanks

Yeah my backlog is borderline scary. Might be worth seeing whats already out you can't get elsewhere/has a glitzier Wii U version like Rayman Legend and Deus Ex (Both ground up built then ported) and the few we know are coming sometime this year (Smash Bros. X, Bayonetta etc) and seeing if enough grabs your fancy to jump on it Plus there's the digital download only ones too! You've got a little time to decide either way so may as well make the most of it then you'll know if you want to hold off a bit longer or not.

When the game releaes in the box with be a red scratch off leaflet thingie that contains a code to register the game (And in this case the console as well) to the Nintendo.co.uk website. If this is anything like when I registered my XL, a couple days after registering the game on my account a code generated in my login area to let me get Super Mario 3D Land for free on my 3DS. I'm assuming this will work in a very similar way!

Is the MK8 in this bundle a physical copy or download code?

Excellent, even better price now - there's no better deal and no better time to grab a Wii U imo.
(expired my £209 thread now)

Also, Quidco are doing 5% cash back on this as well until the 27th, so you can knock another tenner off the price
