Spotted this just in Currys PC World at Merry Hill,

Seems a decent price, clearance item as they seem to be phasing out gaming at this branch.

Black Wii U, 32 GB with Nintendoland.

£179.98.

Sales assistant said they had plenty of stock. Very tempted myself.

Check your local stores.

They had sold out of the 3DS at Merry Hill.

they had about 6 3ds xl in the 2 branches I went to.

None in my local store (huddersfield) just phoned to check :-(

Typical PC World, they can't check the stock from the call centre and have no external phone number for local store, only their internal extension - when they call that for me no-one answers....

My local store isn't that 'local' so I don't really fancy a drive down there just to find they haven't got the offer or even stock.

Still good spot and have some heat from me

Fantastic price if you can find one.

I shall have to check mine tomorrow, finally feel like getting one so fingers crossed!

Checked my local store (Orpington) l. No sale on any consoles.

Didn't have price labels when I went in. Hadn't seen this deal so didn't even bother enquiring. Damn!

Thanks for the heat guys. Good luck finding one.

Good find, I'll be checking my nearest store ASAP. Heat.

Can anyone upload a receipt please? Maybe we can get a price match somewhere.

Judgeing by Merry Hill, I would say so. Didn't have any software on display, and just 3 bays at the back of the store for gaming hardware.

Prices of these are dropping like a stone...not quite cheap enough for me yet (especially as I've just bought a "normal" wii again) but another 6 months and these will be at the right price

still, heat for you OP as this is the best price i've seen so far!

Dropping like stone? Well seeing as its been selling for £200-£250 for awhile now with the odd sub £200 offers, just because 1 place selling it for £180 suddenly means everywhere else will start selling for the same price.

I've said it before, the premium version isn't going to be selling for sub £150 anytime soon(with the current bundle deals the console works out to be around the £150 mark once you take the price of the games in to account).

Why is it every time you get an offer like this that you have some smart **** post the obligatory 'the prices are falling like stone' comment when its clearly not the case?
Elmoose(or however he spells it) has been doing it on the 3ds deal threads for like a year.

The current bundle deals aren't worth it in my opinion and the pricing doesn't make a lot of sense - £250-£300 for a premium console and one game?! Come on! Why would you pay that when you can pick up a console with Nintendo Land for £180 and a comparative game from any bundle for £20-£30?

The Wind Waker bundle is selling for £280 on Amazon at the moment. You're telling me you'd rather pay that than £210 separately?!

No simply sick and tired of the same b.s being posted again and again, same with 'no games', 'why buy a ps3 now a ps4 is out' etc.

Also anyone with half a brain/any sense can knows however much you wish something to be true doesn't make it so, a sub £100 wii u premium is nothing but wishful thinking(well at least for the foreseeable future).

Gotta agree with him. Nintendo died roughly 15 Years ago according to some people. It is a little bit tiring and boring to read the same sort of comments about the prices, how bad Nintendo is and on top of this all these people are going to buy one as soon as the wii u drops below 89 pence. Guess what, they won't.

I have the PS4 here. Was bought a wii u as a gift from the little lady and the PS4 has not been used. Wii U, as a gaming experience is real fun. The PS4 is lifeless, anodyne. That will resolve in time but it definitely is all about the Wii U atm.

Have to agree, I posted this deal mainly because it very much looks like a clearence offer to sell through current stock. Doesn't look like the Currys chain will be supporting much gaming in future.

No more a wild goose chase than all those Morrison's deals people were fortunate enough to find.

I just noticed the above's handle... could you let me know which way Villa are currently marching....

Good. Hopefully a HUKD member visiting the store will get one instead of staff because you can't point out the bargains.

I've since got hold of the Oxford Botley store who have no stock. Still loving that PC World can't get in contact with their own store and have no record of the external phone number, if anyone can find the number of the Didcot store please can you let me and them know ;-)

That has zero relevance to whether this is a hot deal or not.

And to answer your question I think the aim is towards mediocrity.

1. Did not mention the relevance to this deal.

I can verify these deals still exist... just got the last Premium pack in the Bristol area from the Bath Currys / PC World. According to the Curry's stock system there are no other units in any other Bristol stores, with the exception of 1 (used or ex-demo) Premium pack listed for W-S-M.

If you can find a friendly enough member of staff they have the ability to check stock at any store; but it seems like you'll need to go into a store to do this - no one seems to want to check local stock over the phone. You'll also need these product codes:

035347 - Wii U Basic Pack (8 GB) ~£150
035613 - Wii U Premium Pack (32 GB) ~£180
037920 - Wii U ZombiU Pack (32 GB) ~£200

There are some of these in various stores around the country, but they're getting rarer. Even the Basic pack is available in some places (I'm pretty sure I saw a listing of 4 in stock at the Bury store when the assistant was searching around for units; don't bet the farm on this though!).

IMO these are decent value deals - a Premium pack has just gone back up from £200 to £220 on Amazon / Argos. Smyths are still listing the Premium @ £200, but I've not seen a lower price anywhere else. Even the ZombiU pack is decent value if you'll actually benefit from the Pro Controller.
