I also recommend Pikmin 3 also, £22 at Amazon at the moment. New Super Luigi U is also around £18 I think at the same place, great price and post, ED8!

..and that's about it for recommendations. Enjoy! ;p

Sonic Lost World, Pikmin 3, Luigi U, Monster Hunter etc.Plus Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, Yarn Yoshi etc all coming this year, certainly more games I'd recommend than on Xbox One/PS4

getting close to my sweet point of £99

It probably won't get there, or at least for the next 3 years. The Wii only had the console and the remote, the Wii U has the console and the gamepad.

Although they aren't needed, I would recommend buying a silicone gel case for the pad and a screen protector.

If anybody is buying Wii U that is.

Here's hoping game match it so I can use my gift card

Can you use wii games on the wii u? TIA

Nintendo have been so stubborn with the pricing of the U, should be 149.99/129.99 by now

the mario luigi bundle shouldn't be over 200

Yes you can, plus any Wii accessories will work.

Don't foget Rayman, plus the Lego games for the (big) kids

Lego City/ Rayman bundle has dropped to £219.99 too

I don't think they will release any games other than those already announced.

If you've picked this deal up do drop a line on the HUKD Wii U Owners thread - hotukdeals.com/mis…216

I hardly think they have been stubborn. It has gone down in price by a considerable amount since it wa s only released a year and a half ago. Why should they sell at a massive loss, if it was released at £149.99 people like you would be saying "will hold off for £49.99" it is a very cheap console for what you get. Whether it is something that interests you is something different entirely.

Thats a good price for a premium. i picked one up a few weeks ago and its an absolutly fantastic machine. it offers experiences you cant get on any other console currently. Such as ZombiU, mario 3d world, Pikmin 3, wonderful 101. Other great titles, though you can play somthing similar or other consoles, include; Windwaker, monster hunter and sonic racing transformed, aswell as the super mario brothers games.
I was going to pick up a PS4 but the distict lack of any must have titles for at least a year made me choose a wii u for now as it has quality offerings now at a great price.

I went for TheGameCollection, had reward points so managed to get 50p off, plus earned another 75p worth, and TCB worth an extra 60 odd pence. The few quid extra didn't seem justified for just a keying. Heard nothing but good about them also. This will be my first preorder with them so hopefully they'll impress.

I know what you mean, I was close to going with TGC myself. I was thinking about future resale value with the limited edition keyring though.

This pack is much better value IMHO - amazon.co.uk/Nin…1-6
Same price but with 3 games and 2 Wii U Remotes

That's the 8GB basic version though. None of the included stands, no 10% discount on all eshop purchases and very low storage compared with the premium (32GB).

I think this price has finally sealed it for me. Buying this tonight.

Attitudes like this are laughable, I suppose Nintendo only make consoles for kids.

It does have some of the best games. Just not enough. And they are quite similar.

Hmm, still happy with my £209 Zelda edition Wii U from a few weeks ago. If it wasn't for nostalgia kicking in I may have given the Wii U a miss. I can see why the new generation(s) of gamers aren't considering it as I think Nintendo expected the custom & didn't convince the world that there's more to gaming than just headshot counts and k/d ratios. Personally though, I can't wait for Mario Kart 8.

Also, wishlist: 1080p 3D version of A link To The Past.

Only games I have pre-ordered so far this year are Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8; both for Wii U

I can see why you laughed but it's true. Of course it's only true while X1 and PS4 struggle to find their feet but that's why it's a great time to buy one now(if you plan to at some point anyway)

what is the 10% discount i thought they offer 8 points for every pound you spend. u need to spend £62 to qualify for £5 voucher.

i am also more tempted by the white 8GB , memory card solves the memory issue , and 3 games plus 2 controllers included seems good to me.
