so its basically 3 games

Great price - good games to choose from as well (Rayman and Splinter Cell both pretty new releases and excellent titles). Don't forget Nintendoland also comes with the Deluxe console

Edited by: "thesnowman86" 26th Oct 2013

sounds pretty poor to me since the special editions announced recently Zelda and the forthcoming Mario versions are around the same price.

You only get 1 game with that console though whereas you get 3 different games with this deal, so this is a pretty good deal imo.

Next best thing if you missed the Zelda console

You should get Splinter Cell and Rayman Legends, both offer different experiences and are the most expensive games on the list, and two of the best. Pick up all the others used for a tenner. Hot.

Voted hot. This is getting ever nearer to the £199 sweet spot that I'm after (which I suppose it is if I factor in the extra games)!

It was £199 last week with the new Zelda Wind Waker HD game.

Get Splinter Cell and Rayman! :-)

If only Mario U and Wonderful 101 were on there, I don't fancy anything there except Rayman Legends Still a great deal though.

Worth noting...

Eurogamer and Edge have both done articles where they have concluded The Wii U is the console to get this Xmas over the Next Gen...

Primarily because of the weak line ups of the other 2 and the excellent back catalogue the Wii U has now..plus the price

yeah I saw that, but not read it. Truth is though, most people would be better sticking with what they have and waiting six months. If you had to, then the Wii not a bad option.

I'm holding off, but this is a good deal

Not the best deal considering WiiU + Nintendo Land drops to £200 every few months but it's great if you plan to buy any of those other two games. I'd get ZombiU or Splinter Cell & Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed (superb game, have it on PC) or Rayman Legends (considering it just recently released). Also with Christmas getting closer it might not drop as low any time soon.

The one moment I forgot to check HUKD I just tell myself the bundle's GamePad's decal looks tacky to take the pain away.

This is tempting. Its not looking like PS4/Xbone are anywhere near ready...

I am planning on getting an Xbox One, but I am getting a Wii U first, over 4x the quality of games, and most of the XBOne games are out or coming out on Xbox 360 anyway. Fifa, COD, BF4, Titanfall etc

Another feature of the Wii U Premium that is often overlooked is the 10% rebate you get on all online purchases. For every £50 you spend you will receive £5 in bonus credit.

It's a decent price in the scheme of things. I still have some serious reservations about the Wii U, but that doesn't mean that I would suddenly recommend getting an Xbone or PS4 on launch day.

The lineup for the PS4 and 360 looks in many ways as weak as the Wii U's launch lineup, but all that means is that there's no reason to try and get one of the new consoles on launch day. I don't think it improves the case for getting a Wii U. If I'd bought a Wii U on launch day I would be absolutely livid by now.

There are a couple of things to remember about how the PS4 and Xbone stack up against the Wii U.

The first is that the Wii U was released with horribly unfinished system software. A simply massive day one update, followed by three seasonal patches to fix the overall slowness which - have they, yet? Is TVii out in the UK now? What about the virtual console?

Anyway. We still simply don't know what the PS4 or Xbone will be like out of the gate, but my money is on better and more complete at launch, if only because the poverty of the Wii U's shipped launch software was unprecedented.

This won't be important to many people when compared to the games lineup, but all 3 console makers are taking some steps to try and claim the living room, and the Wii U has put in a seriously poor show here.

The other thing is that with such architectural similiarity with the PC, developing cross platform will be a much, much shorter process for the Xbone or PS4. That means that there will probably be many, many more games funelling out in the first few months than with the Wii U. But it also means a lower proportion of exclusives.

As a PC gamer, it's funny to say but I could end up valuing the Wii U more than either PS4 or Xbone if those two consoles don't deliver a reason to go beyond my PC rig. Because I will want the new Zelda, Smash, Mario if they're anything like decent, but there'll only be one place to play them. On the other hand, more than 90% of what comes out for PS4 will be cheaper, run better, and render at higher resolutions on my PC...

However, that day has not yet come. The Wii U has not delivered the major exclusives yet, so it's in no better shape than the competition.

TL:DR - why buy any of the new consoles before Christmas?

Agreed, and this is definitely a good price!

It's a bit of a stretch to call them two games.

Zombiu for alone time and Rayman Legends with a bud. Nintendoland for the whole family during Christmas.

Would not say those are two much better games - Rayman Legends is superior to both

If this exact deal was £200 I would bite. It's getting close and I'm certain by the new year I may have bought one.

They both come on one disk, I believe and so I wouldn't say they were better value. I would personally prefer to play Rayman over the Mario and Luigi U games - I own all three. Plus in this bundle you get three titles and not just 2 very similar ones.

You might want to edit your post to include the links to thr mentioned articles.

just don't choose sports connection or smurfs as your 2 games

Hot deal. The new Mario game (out in November) looks great.

Consider investing in the new gamepad battery to extend it's poor charge life.

Go check the value of the games then come back. Its about value not which game you personally prefer.

The 2 mario games are worth over £60 total, the 3 games you get with this deal are about £12 each.

Wow, where can I get Splinter Cell for £12!!! Let me know so I can snap that one up.

I have gone and checked the values of the games again, and still stand by my statement that Splinter Cell, Rayman and Nintendo Land are better value than Mario and Luigi U.

The Mario and Luigi games are both on the same disk so are not worth their individual purchase prices. I only paid £22 new for Luigi from Flubit and Mario has been £20 new in a few places, like asda, and is £20 in Cex. Nintendo Land is £12.50 in blockbuster, however the cheapest I can find for Splinter Cell is £20 and Rayman is £17.50 in Sainsburys, but you will struggle to find stock - it is £25 in other places. That makes £57.50 at the cheapest.

Please go list your source for £20 mario that is in stock now.

Mario is £35, Luigi is £20-£25. Mario deal is better deal. END of.

And no sane person would buy Splinter cell for the Wii U. All the other games can be had under £10-17.

How old are you?

Even trade in value at amazon (where you are buying them from) gives £21.50 trade in for Splinter Cell £11.25 for rayman legends. Sell them and you could get more! (especially for Rayman Legends). Good luck trading in a 'not for resale' Mario & Luigi set... Great luck selling it for £60!!! Its £22.50 trade in for Mario at the moment...

Besides... both the mario and luigi games are essentially the same game reworked and with a different character added... ITS PRACTICALLY THE SAME GAME!

I'm not going to say 'end of' like a 10 year old though as both packages are good. Is take your choice for what you like...

End of... bagsy... keeps... no comebacks

I would of bitten if this would of worked for the ZombiiU+pro controller+ the free games.

I guess we differ on opinion, but even with your valuations you still don't have the over £60 valuation you originally gave. The bundle version is a single box and so is not equal to the two separate titles. With your lower valuation of £55, you still equal my £55 price for the three titles, so I don't that great of a distinction. I personally believe the three game bundle is better.

Again, I am looking to buy Splinter Cell on Wii U and so would like to know where I can get it for these prices that you claim.

Please do expand on your justification for not buying Splinter Cell on Wii.

Is this really 4 x better than the current Wii??

Tempting.....maybe I'll wait that little bit longer.

Great find though, Hot

I have to say Edge is a crap read these days and I wouldn't waste my money but I think the article might have a point.

The launch titles aren't great for either new machine and currently the Wii U might have a better array of game - it has taken a year to get there however, but give the other two 12 months each and your Wii U will go the way of the Wii - sit, fester and gather dust.
