Love the look of this case I ordered it last time it was on offer in January (for my 3DS XL) but I'm ditsy and completely forgot to pick it up and it returned to it's higher price the next day so I've kept checking to see if it would drop back down and it has again, yay!

So, protect your Nintendo DS system from bumps, drops and Ganon's evil forces with the Hylian Shield Universal DS carrying case. True Zelda fans will immediately recognize the iconic Hylian Shield embossed onto a field of Kokiri green. The shield design features the Hylian Royal Family crest with the Loftwing bird and the Triforce symbol.

A sturdy zipper seals the soft padded interior that holds 6 game cards, 2 styluses and any of the following Nintendo DS systems-
  • 3DS XL
  • 3DS
  • DS XL
  • DS

Picked one up yesterday, it's massive!

Bit disappointed the sales assistant didn't hold it above her head and do the noise.

How impressed would you have been if they had said "it's dangerous to go alone, take this" ?

OMG, brilliant

Jokes aside though, what do you think of it? I reckon it must be big to accommodate the different sized DS consoles in the one case- which is good (mind, not all at the same time though lol)

The build quality is better than I expected, with a rubberised hard shell. It'll do the job of keeping the dust off of it, but I wouldn't like to carry it around as it takes up quite a bit of room. Did I mention that it is massive.
If the price goes up before its collected, do you pay full price?

You pay the price you reserved it at, just show the email.

This is what I've found online-

'Please note that prices can change on a daily basis. If you reserve an item for store pick up using our Check & Reserve, the price you pay is the price in–store on the day you collect & pay for the item'

So it looks like the price you pay is the price of the item on the day of collection, sounding like it's not guaranteed. But I'd also heard that you can show them your email and pay that price, like user migavupe there said so I'm not 100% sure what the correct answer is.

I personally use the Fast Track system now and pay with PayPal which then guarantees the price and also gives you 7 days to collect your order (for all payment types, not just PayPal). So if you change your mind or forget to collect it the money is automatically refunded to your payment choice after the 7 days. Hope that helps somewhat, I know it's confusing

If you were the one buying it I think it's on you to do the noise.

Yes, the Switch will fit in the pocket and the detached Joycons will sit quite comfortably either side.

Picked this up in the mentioned Jan Argos sales. It's an awesome case and I don't even have a DS! Will get one soon to go with it.

Great deal, brilliant description by OP and heat added!

You're not joking!

I reserved it the other day and it really is HUGE! I'm not even sure it'll be that practical for me so I may end up using it to store something else.

Pretty sure I could fit a Nintendo 64 inside it
This will make a perfect little (or not so little judging by the comments) present for a Zelda fan I know. Thanks, OP. It’s finally an Argos deal that’s actually available in shops near me.
