Saw this over Christmas, fantastic mark down for 3 pretty big DLC. Nioh is already a huge game, so you can't go wrong really with £9.99 for all the DLC (equates to roughly £3 each).

No worries pal
Any idea on best price for the base game. Thought it was that at first, would have gone for it!
Excellent price. I loved the dark souls games but this game was just to bloody difficult!!

Heat regardless!
Does Japan currently have a GOTY edition or am I thinking of a different game

When is a good point to access the DLC? I'm about two thirds through the main game, but am quite under powered. Not sure whether to grind some levels or dump the game.
Im too much of a wimp to play this. I played the demo and the stamina bar really put me off. Shame as I love medieval Japanese samurai games. Or tenchu!

Need to finish the main story before you can play through the DLC. First mission is Lv 150 but got through it fine at 105.

It does as does PSN, but I think PSN has cheated by simply sticking the pass & game together.
I was holding out for a retail GotY version but I don't think we will see it over here so I went for the £12.99 Argos deal during black friday.

Just started the game today and haven't decided about the season pass yet.

Tough to find for fair money (like Persona 5 and Nier Automata ) argos and tesco have had the best prices for it over the past couple of months but that's out the window now. If it goes cheap somewhere it's one of those games that will definitely pop up on here.

yeah they do, it might make it over here as a retail copy if were lucky.
This is my game of the year 2017. Its tough but fair, and you can often even the odds by summoning help. The care and attention put into this are amazing, and its serious value for money. Not to mention the loot system is incredible
Fantastic game, worth every penny. Japanese games are the best imo. 😋

I have been questioning this idea recently when you exclude the Anime games. I remember the creativity during the 90s by Japanese developers especially on the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast, Nintendo 64 and GameCube, PS1 etc. All that seems to come out of Japan at the moment are Anime games!
Bought the base game today, getting g into it but reluctant to get the season pass in case I dont like it
Really want to get this game, from the trailers reminds me so much of the days of Onimusha. But I'm dread getting it as I could barely get past the wolf in Bloodbourne lol

I think as usual with Argos there was only about 10 copies In stock around the country. You also missed the £14.99 at Very the same week? This was good price considering the game was £24.99 in most other places at the time.

Not a fan of Very although in hindsight I should have grabbed it. I spent so much money that weekend it would have made an oligarch blush.

I think we all spent too much money that weekend. It looks like the novelty of the PSVR is over in my house already.

I'm on the fence too... picked this up in the Argos sale. Took the wrapper off and not played since....

Better try this as the axe high stance seems to leave me open, I guess it's the short range...
I've asked this before and got mixed answers...

I'm quite Arachnophobic. Does this game have any spiders?

(Been stuck in Bloodborne for over 6 months because of this.)

I was lucky I managed to get Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the Switch from Argos at £29.99 but none of the PS4 deals were ever in stock anywhere near me. Also missed out on all the Tesco deals - had a stock alert for Wipeout Omega Collection at £10 but when it came back in stock it went up to £25.

In the last year or so we've had Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7, Nioh, Nier: Automata, Yakuza 0, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, among others, and the likes of Monster Hunter Worlds on the way. And the anime games that we have been getting, such as Persona 5 and the upcoming Ni No Kuni II, are pretty top notch.

What a shame I really got into the whole 'Bloodborne/DS' style of games with BB until I hit the spider boss.

It was a shame because I literally went through a gaming life revolution with BB after being a typical annual FIFA+COD gamer.

Now Nioh has spiders too is there any games of the same style that don't have spiders?

Some great games there and no denying Japanese developers make some great RPGs but outside of this there is a severe lack of creativity compared to the 90s. I found this article quite interesting...

Hopefully it is the start of a comeback I loved the creativity of Japanese games through the 90s but never been big on Anime. Nintendo continues to deliver but you do feel they play it too safe at times only concentrating on their big franchises. Sega are a shadow of their former selves. Capcom and Konami making headlines for all the wrong reasons. I guess it doesn't help that console gaming is not as popular in Japan as it once was.
