Nissan Leaf Visia Flex - £999+£140/month PCP deal (2 years) £4359 at Bristol Street Motors

Found 2nd Mar 2015
Bristol Street Motors are currently running an equivalent deal to the drivethedeal offer on Nissan Leaf's that was available in January this year.

£999 customer deposit + £53 month PCP payment (2 years) + £87 month battery rental.

In effect, this is a a brand new family sized car for £999 upfront then £140/month. For the leaf this is a stonking deal.

Annual Mileage 5,000

Seems a bit low to me.

There was a lot of commentary on former Nissan Leaf deals relating to the monthly battery charge. On a 2 year PCP deal, think of this as lumped in with the cost of the car and this remains inexpensive motoring. Based on the cost of electricity alone, we have been averaging an equivalent of 93mpg on our Leaf throughout Jan/Feb calculated from mileage/kwh consumed. With a mixture of motorway/local journeys with the heater, lights and radio on - we've been getting around 70-80miles per full charge.

An additional +£5/month for each extra 1,000 miles annually if I worked out the maths correctly..

Electric cars in general are a fad, aside from the Tesla Model S. They're just bridging the gap between fossil fuels and hydrogen

Bridging the gap you say? Seems like leasing for two years then handing back is ideal then.

I have several friends and family who work in different fields in the automotive industry - some work for car manufacturers developing systems/solutions and others work for independent companies developing systems/solutions for car manufacturers. None of them think electric is the answer.

Good deal but very low on Miles per year, I would do about 10/12,000 a year

Completely agree, however if they meet your requirements as a family vehicle they make a lot of sense as a lease.

Would I buy one? Heck no. Lease one? Maybe.

The automotive industry and oil industry are so interlinked a true affordable replacement to fossil fuels isn't going to be allowed to develop.
Imagine all the lost money if everyone suddenly moved from fossil fuels to another source. Wars have been had over a faction of the amount oil companies make in a day, let alone a serious replacement to make them obsolete.
Think this and this.

Just had my leaf for 12 months now- done 17000 miles :-) an amazing car and saving me a fortune! Costs me £35 a month in electric! Fad or not I have never looked back! £££ don't knock it till you've tried it!

You do realise fuel cell cars are basically Electric cars with a bullet proof hydrogen tank.

The Acenta is worth the extra £30 per month by all accounts. £3000 of extras including better heater (saves 25 miles per charge), car wings system and other extras.

They are just so damn ugly.

Has anyone gone for this deal?

You got a good deal. Same deal as I got, factoring in the cost of paint on my deal. Actually, thinking about it, your deal is slightly better.. My deal:
Deposit £200
Monthly £255 x 24 = £6120
Total = £6320. Pearl white tekna with 6.6kw charger, 12k miles per year. Your deal is £1292 less, which is less than the pearlescent paint cost. So, all things considered, you probably squeezed about £300-£500 more out of your dealer than I did mine.

I hope to pick mine up in about two weeks all being well!!

There certainly are some good deals out there right now if you seek them out. I'm really liking the car too, been wanting an EV for a while.

You're going to love it! Small tip - ensure that Carwings is activated when you collect the cat. Sometimes they miss this during he PDI.

I seriously disagree with Bristol Street Motors figures!!! Also 'Bristol Street Motors', how can you quote for full package on Tekna spec vehicle £229pm which includes battery rental based on 2 year agreement with 15,000 miles per annum?? What you should have quoted your customer is actually £119 per moth for battery rental alone as they are doing 15,000 miles per annum - not £78, which doesn't even exist anywhere in Nissan's pricing guide! The Leaf is a fantastic vehicle that provides a great driving experience but please state to me how you save this money?? Even on employee terms - these figures cannot be obtained!!!

I will have to contact the chaps above to see which dealers they went to. For some reason, I can't pm them! Correction: I am now able to message people.

We have a flat-rate battery agreement regardless of mileage at £70pcm on out Leaf currently. I presume there must be some dealer flexibility in the list pricing for this..
