Had the 2019 model my conclusion if you do mostly city driving avoid and if you do mainly motorway driving avoid.
Based on fuel consumption I cant recommend this car full tank which used to cost around £70 would get me on average around 300 miles. That might be ok for you if you need a SUV but I had to make the switch back to a hatchback.
I highly recommend you test drive before you lease this.... I’ll just leave it at that

Let’s hope the 1.3 engines don’t chew through oil like the 1.2 Renault lumps they used in the pre 2016 models
New version was due sept, lots of ongoing bugs and faults on this car

PCH so you won’t own the car.. and done through ZenAuto. Iv got this exact car and it’s a blinder! .. expect about 4-5 weeks delivery. So far no problems with the car.. ZenAuto I needed to chase a couple times for an update. Was very easy to purchase through their website

Seems a bit of a large car to have a 1.3, guess it will need thrashing to get around negating the whole point of putting a more economical engine in it.

Its disappointing that in order to make vehicles appear more economical they simply slap a smaller engine in, instead of actually making engines more economical....i know its easier said than done but still.....maybe we have reached the limit with combustion engines.....

Well not exactly. Big car for the engine. You would be surprised how light the quashqai is.
For this engine version it is ~1300kg. The older 1.2 was even lighter at ~1250. I had the 1.2t as a rental car on holidays and was surprised how it was moving compared to what I had at the time which was a lot smaller Kia Pro Ceed with 1.6 engine.

Now I can't tell on the fuel consumption of the 1.3t although the 1.2 was doing surprisingly well, on average with mixed driving i was getting 40mpg+.

Although I can't say I didn't enjoy driving this car it did seem like the build quality was very average which I could compare to a vauxhall Corsa

May be the petrol model in my diesel I always get between 450-500 miles.

That economy is horrendous. I have a 6 year old BMW 125d......£70 in diesel would get me near on 700miles combined motorway and town driving.
What has happened to the +2 model? Can anyone recommend a good seven seater lease?

You are holding your binoculars back to front.

Cars are lighter so don't need as big engines and engines have more bhp output at a given volume.

They make the engines smaller and turbo's bigger, thats all
At lower speed you end up using more fuel as its still a lower powered engine

+2 is gone. X-Trail would be the 7 seater equivalent.
Had the 1.2 dig-t 115ps Tekna Glass roof for 2.5 years now on a 3+35 £220 maintained.
For family duties it's been great, haven't really taken it in the motorway but it averages 35-47 mpg depending who's driving. Ours being a Tekna has every option you need. Zero problems to report and I've driven alot worse modern cars.

I have a 2014 1.2. performance is good enough for city and motorway driving IMHO. A bit lacking on open A roads though.
The lifetime average MPG is 40.5. that's probably one third around town, one third motorway and one third open road.
Car had been reliable but out local dealer is useless.

Iv got this exact model and give it the beans regularly... i get about 450-550 miles out of the tank depending on whether I’m driving eco mode etc

Was it the diesel engine? My 9 year old Qashqai does 60mpg combined, over 70mpg on motorway? If so, how did you managed that?
