Seems like a lot of money for a quartz movement. Would you not be better off with a nice automatic Seiko which holds its value far better than I would imagine any Nite quartz watch?

Nice looking watch but I wish they had put a little more thought in the name and that font

Not worried on holding value as tend to keep my watches...I have an Omega Planet Ocean (pic added) as my main automatic, just fancy a more everyday watch & the Tritium glow at night looks cool on the site, hoping it’s as good in the flesh.

Not had a watch with tritium but heard it's not that bright. No where near as bright as fully charged C3 lume. Would like to try tritium though just to be able to say I've got a radioactive substance glowing on my arm.

I have a nite t100 hawk and it is very bright and it doesn't fade throughout the night.

I also have a ball with tritium and again, it's quite bright and consistent (not as bright as the t100 hawk though)

Quartz hater are we? This is an ideal everyday watch or holiday watch where Quartz is ideal! No adjusting all the time if you don't wear it! £300 auto won't be anything special, the specs for this watch are great for the price! Show me a £300 auto with a decent movement, Sapphire, that lume and 300m! Good luck!

I have the Apple Watch 4 and on the Nike volt face it’s much brighter than this.
I do like some of their watches, however they are in my opinion over priced, 400 - 500 quid for a quartz watch is in my opinion over the top, Pick one of these up for under a 100, admittedly no tritium tubes but descent lume

What a very strange comment. I have more quartz than automatics, around 80 in all. I don’t ‘hate’ any of them but I have noted how all my Seiko automatic watches bought for up to £300 have lasted and remained accurate with great lume whilst increasing in value whereas most of my various quartz watches including my Tag have dropped in value considerably so Seiko automatics represent a sound investment generally if you take care of them. Automatic watches work just fine on holiday and how many of us are planning on diving to 300m, not many I would imagine, 200m will be more than plenty for 99.9% of us. I have a 1,000m Kirby Morgan BTW that’s never been below 2m

If dear! Sad person.
Wow, lots of watch 'top trumps' going on in this thread..
Personally, I see watches as a fashion item, and wouldn't buy one with the hope for appreciation in value. I get a bit ocd about condition and would hate to have something expensive on my wrist that got scuffed by everyday life.
I'd rather buy something around the £200 mark and change it on an annual basis.
Horses for courses...
I actually quite like the styling of Nite watches but they are overpriced in my opinion. So many better watches to buy in this price range.

Google the Hamtun H2, the kracken. Could of been had with a choice of automatic movements, seiko nh35a or sellita sw 200 for under £300. Bargain.

Its titanium, sapphire, 200m(which is enough for most) it doesn't have that lume, but has a very good lume. I personally wouldn't buy a watch with this lume, don't like the tubes.

Yes love my hawk for what I got it for (night fishing). Comfortable, very light, very bright (t100 is the most amount of tritium allowed I think) and it tells the time well lol

One is an electronic screen......
There are some pretty decent automatic watches available for under £300 - as said above the Hamtun H2 is good - I have the H1, its got Sapphire, decent lume, Titanium and an automatic movement.

I am currently considering this for just over £200 - watchshop.com/men…tml

Andy, had my Nite Alpha for a week now. Very very pleased with it. I put my charged Planet Ocean next to it and it’s true the Lume is brighter to begin with as many have said but a few hours into the night and the Alpha is burning bright when the Lume is faded. It’s perfect for a quick glance of the time when stirring in your sleep and it’s a great looking watch in the daytime but at night it’s comes into its own. Love it. So Bladerunner sums it up for me...”The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly, Roy.”

Great to hear you're loving it, they seem to have a fairly good following and people with them are generally impressed from what I could see before buying mine.

As you say, other lumes start off brighter when given a full charge but they will never last that brightness all night. This is where the tritium comes into its own, same brightness all the time.
