I am horrendously worried about some of the questions I see on here regarding the BASIC use of a credit card, things my 14 year old neice is now being taught in high school.

If you are not sure, do yourself a favour PLEASE head over to Martin Lewis s site at money saving expert, you'll find a wealth of accurate and informative information...

It was 986 with Experian and 500+ (highest they score) with the other two.I have exactly no debt. I have a credit card which is paid in full each month. No mortgage because I bought with cash.People who keep moving debt won't be happy if the rug gets pulled from under them, or their house etc.But it's a personal choice. And people should be responsible for their own financial decisions. This may be good if you can borrow on it and make a profit. Sadly I think the days of the super transfer at good interest rates are long gone.

Great idea!
Good if you can pay off any debt in this time.

Bad for the people who just hold onto the debt and keep moving it around.

Not with this card you can't, this is a 20 month BALANCE TRANSFER card, with no fee for bringing it over from another credit card.

This card only offers 6 months on new purchases...

Pay 0% interest for the first 6 months on things you buy.

Have a look for a 0% PURCHASE CARD

This is so annoying .. they offered me a card with 3% charge instead of this one
Would I be eligible for this if I already have a Halifax Clarity credit card?
Offers been around for a while. Lloyd’s have the same offer (makes sense since they are the same company)

But you can still get 1 card from each provider no bother.
Just get a Lloyd’s one if not

Is there not normally an extra charge to pay your insurance off in full via a credit card though?

Nope. I've done this a few times and haven't paid additional charges for credit card payments. I took the tesco deal with 17 months 0% and paid my car insurance outright again this year

Nope not since around a year ago or so where credit card charges were made illegal

Same here 18 months but 3% transfer fee

Same here 18 months but 3% transfer fee

I decided to go for it as my current interest free term is almost over and I'm categorically against paying interest so the 3% fee was the better option for me.
We bought some windows on our credit card two years ago and have 2.5k left and its 0% interest for another 15 months or so. I could buy ourselves a bit more time if I switch to this right?

Not sure if it’s a genuine question but will answer none the less. But yes you answered your own question you’d get another up to 20 months interest free

Yes it is. This is the only credit card we have ever owned so just unsure. Didn't think they would let you do it you already have a Halifax card but looks possible. Cheers

Eh? I’ve been moving round a slowly reducing (minimum payments) original £5k credit card debt for over 6 years now at 0% - often get £20 chucked at me when I transfer to a new deal. Madness to ever repay it at these rates

I still have 3 months before Barclaycard starts charging me fees, I feel like I should wait a couple of months more.
Could you transfer from credit card and an over draft so I’m only paying off one card with no interest??
Does anyone know if I could transfer someone else's debt onto this 0% card? Probably a silly question to ask.

You can transfer from any credit card no matter who’s name it’s in

Overdraft is a money advance from a credit card so completely different and is normally expensive.
What you can do is transfer more then u owe on the credit card then get a refund from them and pay off your overdraft using that. Then u pay no fees and still get interest fee period
