A 25-130 amps No Gas turbo fan-cooled MIG welder thats ideal for those long, heavy-duty welding jobs both in the workshop and outdoors.

Turbo fan allows longer welding cycles.
6 output power settings.
Non-live torch for safer, more accurate working.
Thermal overload protection.
Accessories: 0.45g starter spool of 0.9mm flux cored MIG wire, leads, chipping hammer/brush, earth clamp, welding torch, hand-held face shield, 2 spare MIG tips and a spare torch shroud.
How to Weld booklet included.
Fitted 13 amp plug.
Weight: 18kg.
Ideal for use on machinery.
Compact and portable.

Great for repairs to metal railings, car restoration, making brackets, etc etc. 'No Gas' Mig Welders are great for outdoor use. A Mig Welder normally uses Argon Gas to 'protect' the weld during the welding process but because there is no gas involved in protecting this weld (the wire used has a fluxed core instead), there is no gas to blow away. To be fair, Argon Mig Welders produce a cleaner and smoother weld but they have the downside of requiring the Argon Gas which can run out so you cannot weld! It can also blow away from the 'weld pool' resulting in the weld being ruined. This unit goes to 130amps which isn't bad for 100 quid. Essentially, the higher the amps the thicker the metal you can weld. Aldi are also selling extra spools of Mig Wire for £9.99. A Welders Mask for £5.99. Welding Apron/Gauntlets for £9.99 and a 3 Piece Welding Clamp Set for £6.99.

You got seen....

Shows what a good price this Aldi wire actually is though. I buy the 4.5KG reels from MM as i've got a full size welder that can take either but don't use it much (takes a 15KG standard reel).

Back to the welder though, had a look yesterday and it's a lot smaller than it looks in the picture. Seems a good deal though. The only disadvantage is the inability to use gas with it, but that's no real biggy if you only want to weld cars etc. The welding masks looked a pretty good price as well as they come with 2 shields (Din 11). All in all not a bad deal.
