I've always been a big fan of Anker so I was following these bulbs on camelx3 for a while. Finally got a price drop alert and it's a good one - £7 price drop.

If I understand it correctly these bulbs don't require a separate hub to connect to and they work out of the box with Google Home and Alexa. Great for anyone who has bought Alexa or Home over the last couple of weeks.

P.S. I guessed the Amazon delivery cost for non Prime members. Hope it's correct.

Why is this voted cold? Seems decent to me. Reliable company and no hub needed

I don't understand hotukdeal sometimes. A smart bulb with no hub dispatched by Amazon and from a reputable company. 32799173-M7I8C.jpg
Tempted as I’m a fan of Anker products and need some more smart bulbs, does anyone have these aleady and know how they compare to the Xiaomi yeelight bulbs?
I'm going to give it a go, thanks OP.
this or the TP link?
TP Link has the kasa app which I find very useful
My only concern is with the E27 fitting + Adapter to bayonet fitting it might look a bit daft in my ceiling lamps... but I don't really need the fancy colour changing and it doesn't require a hub

Hmmmm...

[edit] My concern is the same for all of the hubless bulbs that are bigger... doesn't affect the heat of this deal!

[edit2] Just bought a couple - will see how they go

That's what I've done. I'll happily report back on them. Never had a smart bulb before. I've been using TP link smart plugs for my smart devices.
My problem with these smart bulbs is they are around 800 lumens.... Suitable for lamps rather than room lights
Hard to find smart bulbs over 1000 lumens

Bulb works great by the way guys. Very impressed. First time setting up a smart bulb so I was a bit confused to start but if you follow the instructions it's quite easy. I might do a video review for Amazon.

Just thought I’d add my 2p:

Positives:
bulbs are really easy to set up, they work brilliantly with my Amazon echo, or the Euphy app.

Negatives:
Dimming is a little ‘digital’ like the difference between stages is hardly noticeable, so I only ever really have them on or off... which leads to my next negative.

We’ve got 2x pendant lights in a large’ish open plan living area. The 9w bulbs on 100% are a lot (obv) dinner than the 14.5w LED bulbs we had in previously, but we have a large 5 bulb corner lamp so it works for now. I would like higher power smart bulbs in the future for this room and I’d move them into the utility or bedrooms.

I think they’ll last if they’re up to the usual anker quality, and if they do break, I’ve had good experience with Anker customer service before.
