Will it be amazing or the biggest disappointment of the year?
Everyone seems to be a little cautious on price but this is one of the lowest I have seen from a reputable retailer.

Done thanks, with BF 1 too for PC as it works with the code as well!
Well once I've visited every planet, I'll come back & let you know if it's any good... :P (Good price heat added)
The biggest disappointment of the year goes to The Division. Last year, just in case you're wondering was Battlefront.
It will get 3.5/5 when reviewed I reckon. Looks dull and graphics look dreadful- too bright and garish.
I've not noticed it widely available for pc preorder, in fact no where, good price I guess, met Murray at the V&A last year and he's super interesting so hopefully his game will be too
I'm gonna wear nappies when I play this, just like an astronaut

Luckily someone of us appreciate games regardless of the graphics
i think its about 2 years too late. it needed to be out a little after announcement. i was all up for it and now, i shall wait for a price drop
It's one of those games where people are gonna rush to claim a planet in their name. Shame the release has been pushed back until August, so it most likely will be cheaper come closer to the time.
When I see a steam deal I expect less than a fiver to be honest.
Still a bit hesitant on this game. Sure there might be a bazillion planets or whatever but how many are going to be exactly the same as one you've already been too with a slightly darker shade of grass?
looking forward to the reviews but share concerns that it may be become dull quickly

He then said "and graphics look dreadful". Criticise away.
FYI

card will be charged the full amount at the point of sale and your order will then be dispatched in time for release.

Would you appreciate a dull game that also looked like a bag of spanners?
If this ever comes out. Got to be concerning that we haven't seen video gameplay or anything similar allegedly two months from release. A no-show at E3 also for one of the most anticipated games this year. Links in with the idea that this could get boring quickly or worse, another delay. Be tempted to wait until release/price drops if so!
I think the delays are down to an ongoing lawsuit, looks like they are not going to be able to use the "Sky" part of the name.
So want the game but hate it when a game dives in price shortly after release. Will try to resist buying it at launch but not holding out much hope. Exactly the sort of game I love.
Game industry commentators were saying things like "no surprise there" and "we knew this was coming" when the delayed launch was announced.
Clearly the game has issues beyond the SKY name lawsuit (how absurd is that? Murcdoch doesn't own the English language!).

I am hopeful that NMS will be good, but unflattering preview reviews and delays make me hesitant to pre-order.

Wow, I'd not heard that at all. Whaddya know... at least it's solved now

How Sky had the nerve to try that one on is beyond me. Ah yes, Murdoch, that'd explain it
My concern is it may boil down to nothing more than a spreadsheet with a relatively basic front-end, the player is simply there to fill those data cells with names.

The planets all seem fresh out the oven, nothing suggests complex or interesting landscapes molded by years of weathering or tectonic movement. The same could be said of the inhabitants which appear to be big, medium or small and made out of a pool of familiar limbs. I can't imagine the game including anything to diversify the wildlife in weird or wonderful ways without the presence of evolution or a food chain formed over millions of years.

They've shoehorned in a few gameplay features such as terraforming but it doesn't look like a functional creation tool. A recent dev comment actually gives the impression any player influence will be erased when they depart (though conveniently nobody is likely to visit these place again). The players can shoot and collect things though which should be absolutely thrilling!

I still want to play No Man’s Sky and experience the scale but I don't think it will deliver much else, at least on this first attempt.

Look youve tried making yourself sound smart and it hasnt really worked now has it.

The OP can of course has his opinions, everyone can - but when hes say the game looks dull because the graphics are too garnish??

Its just confusing, its like has saying the game looks rubbish cause of the graphics?? which is why i posted my original reply (and funnily enough has gone to the top of page with the amount of likes)

Certainly not one of mine
The game looks pretty nice but people need to realize what it is and what it isn't. It's an indie game, so you shouldn't expect tons of content - it's all procedurally generated. I guess the fact that it's expensive for an indie game raises the expectation bar quite a bit, though. Perhaps it should have been cheaper. We'll see how it goes.

Didn't they say that the graphics are like this on purpose, like the old covers of sci fi books.

I am reserving judgement on this game, from what we've seen, it could be great, or it could be terrible. I'd like to believe that its amazing, but I'm not sure enough to pre order.

I need to watch ordinary people playing for an hour or two to make up my mind on this one. Which means waiting till its out, then ordering if its decent.

I'm sitting on my hands here, because I just can't wait. Most excited I've been about a game since Skyrim was coming out.
