Excellent value here, with the free MP3 download of the album (which if buying alone would set you back £9.99).
Crammed with excellent tracks, and not really a duffer on there at all, although some are clearly superior to others.
2015 marks the 40th anniversary of the birth of the scene that changed music history forever. This brand new landmark collection brings together the very best of the Punk scene that exploded in the mid to late 70's and the New Wave of edgy pop classics that followed. The Punk revolution was massively influential, the scene spawned countless new energetic bands then splintering into the more pop oriented New Wave but still with the irreverence and vigour of Punk. The album includes 60 Punk and New Wave anthems including classic Punk from the Ramones , The Jam , The Stranglers , Sham 69 , The Undertones, and New Wave hits from Blondie, Talking Heads, Echo And The Bunnymen, and XTC.

Madness punk / new wave someone got that wrong poor track listing for me.

Think it's more an attitude or feeling of that era than what us old 'uns might personally define as 'Punk'. That being said, here are Madness, headlining a Punk festival in 2020 punkrockbowling.com/ban…ss/

EDIT: I must also add in defence of Madness, I've been to many Punk / Alternative nights and when this particular Madness track comes on the crowd do go a bit wild.

Hehe without The Clash...they're can't be serious. Anyway, saw a few above bands live and must admit one of my favorite gig was The Damned in Kentish Town. (even if never been a fan)
the damned ...most under rated punk band there has ever been.

first to release a single...first to play america

...and still going strong

great musicians...even in the early days
