Groupon has great discounts on airport lounges throughout the UK, including No.1 lounges and Clubrooms.
These lounges give you somewhere comfortable to sit and wait for your flights, wifi, lots of plus, newspapers and most importantly, food and drink; alcohol is included. I think £24.50 is a great price when you consider the cost of airport food and drink.

Even if you don't love airport lounges, these are good discount

£24.50 for unlimited drink? Around London? I'd hold my wedding/funeral reception there, if I was having one.

Not necessarily. I guess it depends on what you buy. If you have a meal, which in Gatwick is around £15 minimum, and two alcoholic drinks, you could easily spend £24.50.

Considering you get unlimited drinks, a nicer environment, your pick of snacks etc. I still think it's worth it.
However, like you, I use it as a treat. I can't yet afford to fly business class so this is my bit luxury before I head onto a cramped economy, flight where they charge £3 for a can of coke.

Anyway, I think this is a good deal in comparison to the standard price.

Suppose it depends what you buy and time of day, Gatwick I usually do a cheeky half price itsu if I can. But for me I usually minimise airport time.

For a layover it's worth it, and it's cheaper than normal so a deal in that respect.
beware: clubroom doesn't like kids. Also you might get turned away from the lounges claiming they have no vacancy because of people who may or may not turn up.

From my understanding they only turn away customers with lounge passages when busy, rather than those who have prepaid.
Luton clubroom for Feb Half term £27 a bit misleading saying £34.50 still a saving £2.50 so a hot from me.
Usually 3hrs MAX

Just in case plane goes down you dont want to meet your creator all drunk,
I don't really like these lounges. They are nothing like business class lounges, and often you have to queue to get in for ages even when pre-booked. I've done it once. Never again.

It's all based around consumption, if you're dead set on getting your money's worth by stuffing your gullet then it can probably be achieved, but, man, what a way to be. The reviews on Google maps aren't great as to the experience either. We'll take a sandwich with us, enjoy a coffee while watching the world go by, pop to a couple of shops and before you know it it's boarding time, we'd much rather use the £50 on a nice meal out at the other end.

Wouldn't bother, you will be last on the list to get in and arrogantly and patronisingly told that theres no room but if you pay extra you'll be guaranteed a space.

That shouldn't be the case if you pay in advance and book-in online. If, however, you have personal experience of it going very wrong please be specific allowing others to make a more informed choice.
Anyone know....do you have to fly? This would be a great deal to take my wife out for dinner one evening.

You're guaranteed entry with a booking like this. It's not like when you use Dragon Pass
Exactly my thoughts with these lounges. For 25 quid you can get a meal and a couple of drinks at one of many good restaurants. Plus these ‘lounges’ are full of money saving experts wanting to feel classy rather than actually being so!

You've been to one and making assumption you have to que for ages?

If you are going peak season then yes I would expect this and not bother, ,but off season there quite nice and get money's worth after 3 drinks

I would only too if going long haul imo

I’ve been turned away multiple times after booking, they say flight delays meant there’s no room and they try to up sell the more expensive lounge that always seems to have space. No.1 has gone downhill, the food is poor, they only let you order one small dish from the menu now. The drinks are unlimited, but you have to wait for ages to get served as they only have one or two people behind the bar for a lounge that takes a couple of hundred. It was so busy and packed last time I went, we actually left and went to Starbucks in the terminal which was far more relaxing in comparison.

Length of flight is irrelevant.

Yes, I've had a terrible experience , and saw the difference between this and an airlines business class lounge, the two don't even compare. Obviously business class flights are a lot more than entry to this lounge, however I'd rather just go to a bar where people are actually paying for their drinks rather than somewhere where everyone's trying to get their money's worth so it ends up like feeding time at the zoo.

Legend, got a couple of passes for a long layover in Hong Kong over Christmas!
I tried this in Gatwick on Friday evening flying home from a work trip and I thought it was great value. Very relaxing, lovely seating, plenty available, unlimited food and drink but in reality, you end up just having 3 or 4 which is plenty anyway. Food choice is very limited but it was more than adequate and it was really quiet in there. If you smoke, there is a private terrace too that you can use with nice seating. I would have spent 20 pound on a meal and a couple of drinks easily in a restaurant so I was delighted with this. You can also use a fast track security area which was excellent too
As if these paid for lounges aren’t chavvy enough already. Bad move reducing this price for people that aren’t trying to drink as much WKD as possible and staggering around an average quality buffet.

Is an average buffet I couldn't find one main I like a few months ago, was all international cuisines, was dissapointed, drank 4-5 disaroonos but only to try get some value out of it, overall waste of money luckily I got it for 17£ each through daily mail subscription (got 1 year for £50 with free Google home) these was 100£ at the time
I fly United to Chicago at least twice a year and always buy lounge passes on eBay for about £20.

Bearing in mind that I’m at the airport 3 hours beforehand, under £7 an hour for unlimited champagne, cocktails, food, access to showers, and free newspapers and luxury magazines is an amazing deal.

A great way to start what is always going to be a very long and weary day.
Lounge food isn’t great.. the restaurants outside are usually better. With the exception of the Cathay Lounge in T3. Yes the free booze is a nice perk though.

Never been a fan of these places you can get proper meal served at your table and 3 pints for the same price in a onsite restaurant much nicer, maybe at £15 discounted i give it a go.
