Hmm... Can buy a brand-new battery with 5 year guarantee for that kind of money.... Just saying.
Sounds like a decent discount if it's used regularly I suppose

I have always carried a spare battery and h/d jump leads as well a many other self help things.
I have helped many people (and myself) out over the years.

Suppose I've helped push jump start a few cars in my time, have the AA so it kinda stops me from carrying any tools these days plus... These newer cars are all sensors, happen I occasionally lend my diagnostic tool to family and friends, so after your wonderful contribution to the driving community i can say I've done my bit.
The £30 jumpstart found on Amazon, starts my car as well . This is an overkill unless you own or drive a bus or truck . Lithium batteries degrade after charging 1000 times so i cannot find any value in this . But at same time , bus and truck drivers may find it useful .

Though this HD is better than 4K. It’s like 15.7k, what’s not to love.

I also have breakdown cover but I prefer to fix my own in minutes rather than waiting hours at busy times.
I am one of the can do generation!
I got the last one GB40 is it ? It started my car at the weekend within seconds on a totally trained battery. I drive a 2.0L derv and started no problem , draining down to a false wired dash cam

"can do" generation?

I'm probably going to regret this, but go on. Please explain to me how depending on what generation you were born into defines whether you are a "can do"-er...

It's not an insult. parts were made to be repairable in my Dads generation. Nowadays parts are designed to be replaced rather than repaired but the older generation will still try and fix them. I try with varying success, being a farmer I try to improvise most things.

Apologies, normally when people say anything that includes "my generation", it's an attack. My mistake.

Agree with your point though. I hate the facts that things are made to be replaced nowadays. I love getting dirty with my motorbikes and cars but definitely prefer working on older stuff. Modern machinery is more computer than conrod.
